(Live Now) Hearthstone Event in Diablo Immortal, Get Sanctuary Card Back For Participating

Update: The event is now live, and it’s actually quite easy to get the Hearthstone card back. All you need to do is download Diablo Immortal and get a character to Level 10. The card back will then be added to your Battle.net account and you’ll get it after logging to Hearthstone.

It should take maybe 20-30 minutes total (not counting the time necessary to download the app). Of course, it’s up to you whether that’s too much work, but I assumed that it’s going to be more difficult.

Blizzard just announced another collaboration – this time it’s a special Diablo Immortal x Hearthstone event, starting on July 30.

Diablo Immortal players will be able to collect classic Hearthstone cards (like Polymorph, Lightning Storm or Preparation), granting special effects/affixes in game. For example, Polymorph will periodically transform nearly monsters into Yaks and Preparation will reduce cooldowns. They will also be able to participate in new/revamped game modes with special rewards and claim daily rewards. And – of course – the event will add a lot of Hearthstone-themed cosmetics.

What’s more interesting for Hearthstone players is that participating in the event will also give you an exclusive Diablo Immortal “Sanctuary” card back in Hearthstone (you can find it below). We don’t have any more details about it yet, but if you happen to play both games or are interested in trying out Diablo Immortal, it might be a nice freebie.

Sadly, the event already had its first controversy. The image used to promote it on social media had clear signs of being generated by AI (while it looks fine at first glance, once you look at details it really breaks apart). Blizzard hasn’t addressed the issue yet. Other promo images featured on the blog post don’t have such obvious AI generation artifacts, but at this point it’s really hard to tell.

If you’re interested in the event, check out the official blog post. More details (probably including how to get Hearthstone card back) will be shared soon.
