Hearthstone Creator Program Temporarily Paused As It’s Getting Updated

Blizzard just announced some news regarding Hearthstone’s Creator Program (which Hearthstone Top Decks is a part of). The initiative has been growing steadily since 2023 as more and more people joined. However, Blizzard is hitting a temporary pause on new applications.

The reason is that they’re trying to figure some things out and upgrade it. Among the things to change they listed having a cleared guidelines, introducing more content creators beyond streamers/YouTubers/podcasters, and making the contact and application process easier.

The pause won’t affect current members. They can still enjoy the benefits, including some early access to news, direct communication with dev team, more invites and occasional swag drops.

You can read the whole message below:

Hey Hearthstone Creators, this one’s for you!

First off, our community team wants to give a big shoutout to everyone who shares their love for Hearthstone through videos, streams, memes, and more. Your passion is why we started the Hearthstone Creator Program back in 2023 and it’s why we’re getting ready to make some big improvements to it starting today. Let’s get to it!

The media landscape has evolved a lot since we first started, and there are more types of content creators applying to the program than ever before. To keep up with these changes, we would like to give our Creator Program a big update. So, we’re hitting pause on new submissions and giving the program the refresh it deserves so we can better meet the needs of our content creators.

While we work through the backlog of applications, here’s what you can look forward to:

  • Clearer guidelines for acceptance so everyone knows what to expect
  • Expanded eligibility to include more types of creators beyond streamers, YouTubers, and podcasts
  • Easier ways to contact our team and identify your regional community managers
  • Faster response times and a simplified application process

Current members will continue as usual, and recent applicants should expect a reply soon.

Check out the current benefits of joining the Creator Program:

  • Early access to content and direct communication with the development team
  • Exclusive giveaway codes and bundles to reward your community
  • Priority consideration for special events like playtests, Inn-vitationals, and live events
  • Occasional opportunities to snag some sweet swag

We’re excited for what’s next and can’t wait to share more with you soon. Keep an eye out for updates in the coming months.

See you in the Tavern,
The Hearthstone Community Team
