Blizzard just posted patch notes for the 34.4 update! The patch should go live tomorrow, most likely at the usual time (10 AM PT / 19:00 CET). While the main new addition is the mini-set, we have some other updates too. Here’s a summary of what’s coming in the patch:
Echoes of the Infinite Mini-Set– Mini-set for Across the Timeways is getting released together with the patch. As usual, the mini-set contains 38 cards in total (with 4 Legendaries among them) for 2000 Gold or $15. The mini-set looks to be a mixed bag in terms of power level, with some very weak cards, but also some real bangers. But no matter how good it is, mini-sets are always a great buy as they give you the most value per unit of currency spent (no matter whether you’re buying it with real money or Gold).
Arena Updates – A new Arena season launches together with Patch 34.4, with an update to the drafting pool. As always, when the season changes, all of the current runs will be forcefully retired. If you have an ongoing run, you will get compensated with a Tavern Ticket (so it’s always wise to start a new run and play up to 2 loses to maximize the rewards you get). This time Taverns of Time (an Arena-exclusive set) is returning to the pool, with multiple balance changes and card reworks. Imbue cards were also removed from the Priest’s drafting pool (thank you).
New In-Game Events – Two new in-game events have been announced. One starts right after the patch launches and gives players some card packs, Epic cards, as well as two new cosmetics (End Time Card Back + Infinite coin). Then the second one drops on February 3, and it’s a very short (one week) event with two card packs, one unowned Card Back (from Year of the Gryphon/Hydra/Wolf) and a new Druid skin (Lunar Lunara) as rewards.
Shop Updates – A new “Darkmoon Treasures” has been announced, this time with a new Ysera pet as the headliner. We don’t have the price, but it’s safe to assume that it will cost the usual $158 to get all of the items (and you’re unlikely to get a pet in anything but the final roll). We also have some changes to how fast pets level up – as a reminder, pets have 4 skins (default + 3 extra) and you unlock them by doing certain in-game actions that differ between pets. However, since the progress was too slow, Blizzard decided to double the XP gain.
Bug Fixes – As always, the patch comes with a bunch of bug fixes. This time the list is pretty short (probably because of the holiday break) and we have no QoL changes.

Ysera Lands in Darkmoon Faire Treasures
The Darkmoon Faire Treasures booth is back with a fresh batch of prizes featuring our newest Pet, Ysera, along with nine other fantastical cosmetics.
This miniature Ysera may be small, but she still dreams big! A gentle yet protective green dragon, the Ysera Pet joins you on the board and reacts to your gameplay in real time, mimicking your emotes, following your cursor as you aim a spell, and fluttering her wings with glee when you make a stellar move. You can give Ysera scratchies, play tug-of-war with her Xavius toy, and treat her to her favorite Moonberry snack. Just don’t leave her unattended for too long, because this guardian of the dream loves a good nap. When the match ends, Ysera takes you to her own original victory or defeat screen for a magical finish.
Ysera will be featured in Darkmoon Faire Treasures during these dates:
Mainland China: January 20 – February 9
All other regions: January 27 – February 17
Darkmoon Faire Treasures is our random pull system that rewards Pets, Mythic Skins, Signature cards, Hero Skins, and more. The first pull is free, and subsequent pulls require Runestones to purchase. Every pull guarantees a prize. As the prize collections in the Treasures booth rotate, prices adjust to match the value of the current items. Read more about the current value of Darkmoon Faire Treasures, as well as pull rates and odds.
Unlock Pet Skins Faster with Double XP!
We’ve heard from Hearthstone Pet owners that you love unlocking skins, and we’re making it easier than ever to get them. Each Pet has three unique skins to unlock by leveling up, and now all Pet XP is DOUBLED to help you get there faster. For Ysera, those skins are Ardenweald Ysera, Ysera of the Bronze, and Corrupted Ysera.
Pets earn XP when they see you doing things they like during a game, and every Pet has its own quirks and favorite activities that match its personality. Want to make Ysera happy and help her level up? Here’s what to do:
Cast a Nature spell
