Update: The patch is now live! Since it’s a data-only update, it should be out on both PC and mobile at the same time.
Blizzard just posted patch notes for the 32.4.2 update launching today. It’s a medium-sized update with changes for Standard, Wild and Battlegrounds format, as well as some bug fixes. The patch was already teased yesterday, but we now have a full list of changes.
Additionally, after the patch launches, players will get a new Legendary Quest Chain – play Standard matches to earn three The Lost City of Un’Goro packs + one Golden Un’Goro pack + one Emerald Dream pack.
Divine Brew no longer gives minions that already have Divine Shield +1 Attack.
In Wild, we have only 1 nerf (but a pretty significant one):
Wild – Nerfs
Necrolord Draka is now capped at a 10/3 weapon (previously no cap).
The patch also comes with a few Battlegrounds changes, but more importantly, it adds Anomalies back to the mode. It serves as a mid-season update – normally that role is filled by Patch .6, but due to a weird patch schedule this expansion there will be no such patch (next major update will be expansion release). Anomalies should be available until the next proper season starts (probably around late August or early September).
As usual, the patch also comes with some smaller bug fixes and game improvements. You can check out the full patch notes here:
Patch 32.4.2 brings the mid-season Battlegrounds updates, along with a new Legendary Quest, bug fixes, and balance changes for Standard and Wild!
New Legendary Quest Chain
We’re on the road to The Lost City of Un’Goro, where grand quests and glorious rewards await! Start your adventure early with a new Legendary Quest Chain. From the launch of Patch 32.4.2 until July 8, play Standard games to earn up to 3 The Lost City of Un’Goro packs, 1 Golden The Lost City of Un’Goro pack, and 1 Into the Emerald Dream pack!
Hearthstone Updates
Dev Comment: Standard currently offers a good variety of viable deck classes and archetypes, but there are a few outliers that we wanted to tone down as we prepare to step into The Lost City of Un’Goro. Just like with our other recent updates, these changes are mostly to make burst turns slower and clunkier, curbing both play experience and power outliers.
On the Wild side, even though we targeted Draka’s decks last patch, it has continued to create extreme play patterns. As such, we’re finishing the job with a concrete cap on Draka’s power.

Battleground Updates
Dev Comment: Well-met! This season is slightly shorter than usual, so our mid-season shakeup looks a little different. For the first time ever in Battlegrounds, we’ll have two systems together: Trinkets and Anomalies! We’ve curated which Anomalies are returning to add variety to your games while omitting some of the more disruptive ones. We’ve also added three new Anomalies that meddle with the Trinket system itself!

Bug Fixes and Game Improvements
[Hearthstone] Fixed a bug where Endbringer Umbra would retrigger all Deathrattles granted to Deathrattle minions in her effect.
[Battlegrounds] Triple Rewards now give a 3-Gold pouch if there are no valid minions to Discover.
[Battlegrounds] Fixed a bug where Golden Maw Caster’s Battlecry could trigger multiple times with Brann-type effects. (It will now only grant 2 Discovers, since there is only one Undead minion to destroy.)
[Arena] Fixed a bug where players could get fewer packs than shown on their Arena rewards screen. Players who missed packs this way have been granted their missing packs; another wave of missed pack grants will go out after this final fix goes live.
[Arena] Fixed a bug where Mystery Dispense-o-bot (from Remixed Dispense-o-bot) wouldn’t grant a secret.
[Arena] Fixed a bug where Death Knights could be offered unpickable cards outside of their runes during their draft. Players who are stuck in a draft pick with no valid options will have their draft automatically retired and their ticket(s) refunded.
[Arena] Fixed a bug where players who haven’t unlocked The Underground could get in a locked state by spectating an Underground game.
