Forged in the Barrens Reveal Season Starts on March 16 (Update: And Ends on March 22)

It’s official! Blizzard is just adding a card reveal schedule for Forged in the Barrens as I’m writing this. The first reveal takes place next Tuesday – on March 16, at 18:00 CET (which is 9 AM PT). It links to the official Hearthstone YouTube channel, so I would assume that it will be some kind of video or stream with multiple reveals to start things off.

Update: From this blog post, we’ve learned that final card reveal stream happens on March 22. So the reveal season runs for only 6 days. If I remember things correctly, it’s the shortest reveal season up to date (for a full expansion, that is) – previously the shortest ones went for 7 days.

I won’t post an image yet, because the schedule is still being updated. Right now it only shows the first couple of days. I’ll post a full image once it finishes updating. For now, you can check out the reveal schedule in your own time zone on the official card page.

If it’s your first reveal season, you should know a few things. Once a new card is revealed, we’ll try to post it on our website and social media as quickly as possible. We’re also posting a round-up of all cards revealed on a given day on social media. While the quality of revealed cards is not always very high, since they’re cut from screenshots of videos, streams etc. – we always post an HQ version of the card as soon as it’s available. It’s relatively easy when it comes to English cards, because we know the official name and text.

However, everything gets a bit more complex when the revealed cards are in other languages. Some foreign content creators are posting both their language version as well as English, but from time to time we get only the non-English version. In that case, we need to find a translation first before posting the card, and for that, we need to rely on early translations found online (on reddit, Twitter etc.). In order to show you the card as quickly as possible, we use those early translations, because it often takes hours to get the official English version from Blizzard.

Our translated cards are USUALLY more or less correct (details like the exact card name or wording on the effect), but we posted some poorly translated cards with different effects in the past, for which we’re sorry. If you see some weird card names or text that doesn’t follow usual card formatting rules – don’t worry, it most likely means that it’s an early translation and we’ll post a correct version as soon as it’s available. If the wait time for official English version would be shorter, we wouldn’t bother with translations, but in the most extreme cases (cards revealed on Friday night) it can take a few days. That’s why we feel like the risk of some bad early translations doesn’t outweigh the benefit of showing you the cards way sooner.

Update #2: Here’s a full reveal season (Update: Not full anymore, the official list has been updated). Keep in mind that the times listed are in my time zone (CET), if you want to check out the full list with your times, check out the official card page.
