Amaz vs. Rdu

Game 1

Amaz (Ramp Druid) vs. Rdu (Freeze Mage)

Amaz starts with TWO Innervates in his hand, but it ends up being a bit awkward and he can’t use them to get anything out quickly. Rdu gets an Acolyte of Pain on the board, and Amaz responds by Innervating out an Ancient of Lore for card draw. A Mirror Image comes out for Rdu to protect himself from the Ancient, and he follows it up with an Arcane Intellect. The Black Knight takes out a taunt token, and the Ancient of Lore cleans up the other one. Rdu freezes the board with Frost Nova, and Amaz answers with a charged Druid of the Claw. Rdu freezes the three minion board with Blizzard, and burns the coin so he doesn’t lose a card. Amaz continues to put on the pressure with an Argent Commander, and Rdu is at 20 health. The second Blizzard comes out for Rdu and that takes out two minions and locks down the board for the third straight turn. Amaz really trying to pressure Rdu with an Azure Drake and a Swipe to the face. Rdu pings down a minion, tosses out an Ice Block, freezes a minion with Ice Lance, and casts a Doomsayer.  Amaz keeps going for the face, and could deal with the Doomsayer but decides not to and loses the board. Rdu runs out the Alexstrasza and takes Amaz down to 15 health. Amaz takes out the Alexstrasza with a Swipe and Force of Nature. Rdu draws into a second Fireball, and has 18 damage in his hand but can’t get it all off in one turn. Rdu ends up using Frostbolt and Fireball taking down Amaz to 9, and puts Amaz in a bad spot. Amaz gambles on Ragnaros, but unfortunately for him Rdu has the damage in hand and finishes him off with a Fireball and Frostbolt.

Rdu Wins (1 – 0)

Game 2

Amaz (Trap Hunter) vs. Rdu (Freeze Mage)

Amaz comes out trying to do damage early and rolls a Misha off of his Animal Companion. Rdu is quickly down to 16, but gets some more health off of an Ice Barrier. Amaz uses Deadly Shot on a Loot Hoarder, crazy play, and Rdu starts to get a board going with an Azure Drake and Mirror Image. Amaz goes Leeroy into Unleash the Hounds and clears most of the board and pushes for damage. Rdu clears the board with Blizzard and freezes Amaz with an Ice Lance. Rdu gets the Ice Block out, but Amaz can’t proc it. Out comes Alexstrasza and Amaz is at 15, and can’t clear the board. Rdu has too much damage in the hand and finishes off Amaz with burn.

Rdu Wins (2 – 0)

Game 3

Amaz (Control Priest)  vs. Rdu (Freeze Mage)

Rdu is having to remove all the friends on his list because they were attempting to message him Amaz’s cards during the last game. It did look like Rdu had the game won, but it’s a shame people would do this sort of thing.

The games start, I’m curious if Rdu will be shaken up by the situation, we’ll see how this plays out.

Amaz out with an Auchenai quickly, and Rdu responds with a Doomsayer. Amaz uses Thoughtsteal and draws pretty poor cards in Freeze Nova and Mirror Image. The board gets cleared by Doomsayer and Rdu gets out an Azure Drake. Amaz responds with a Shieldmasta that gets buffed by a Power Word: Shield. Rdu uses a Fireball on the Sheildmasta and gets in some damage with the Drake. Amaz uses the Frost Nova and Mirror Image, but it gets cleared by a Flamestrike. The Drake is cleared by a Holy Fire, and Rdu draws his Alexstrasza. In the middle of his turn, Rdu is forced to remove a few more of his friends that were left on the list. These were just people who he had played in the tournament. Doomsayer out on an empty board from Rdu, and Amaz responds with Ragnaros and HE WINS THE 50/50. Rdu goes for the Alexstrasza and takes Amaz down to 15. RAGNAROS HAS TO HIT THE ALEXSTRASZA OR IT’S OVER AND IT DOES! Amaz is left with Rag, Injured Blademaster, and an Earthen Ring Farseer. Rdu forced to Frost Nova, and Amaz clears the board. Rdu goes full to the face with burn, and Amaz has to draw into some extra health. Amaz doesn’t read that Rdu has the Pyro, and only heals himself to 10. Rdu finishes Amaz with the Pyroblast!

Rdu Wins (3 – 0) and takes the Championship!
