DreamHack Summer (June 14th – 16th) is fast approaching, and we’ve had some recent news and changes to the tournament.
The announcers for the tournament were revealed, and it looks like we’ll be seeing commentator extraordinaire Artosis, Value Town’s ChanmanV, SeltzerPlease, and the man seemingly taking over the commentating scene: ThatsAdmirable.
In an interesting twist, it seems like we won’t be seeing Hearthstone DreamHack on Twitch. ViaGame, a newly rebranded website that will feature eSport related gaming content has partnered with Dreamhack to provide the event. The last tournament was very popular, I’m interested to see how ViaGame will be able to handle the production and load. I’m also curious how popular it will be based on the lack of success that Azubu has had in transitioning audiences away from Twitch and onto their network.
Lastly, Lifecoach will not be attending DreamHack due to the birth of his second child. Reynad, King of Salts will be his replacement. This gives team Tempo Storm three members in the seeded player list, and increases the odds that one of them might be able to keep the title with their team.
