A new bundle is now available in the shop, and it features a new type of pack we haven’t seen before – Year of the Dragon Pack. Year of the Dragon packs can contain cards from any of the three Year of the Dragon expansions – Rise of Shadows, Saviors of Uldum and Descent of Dragons. It makes the bundle a good way to catch up for players who haven’t played much throughout the year. It’s also important to mention that those packs have a separate pity timer than packs from individual expansions, which means a guaranteed Legendary in the first 10 packs.
Bundle contains 25x Year of the Dragon Card Pack + a random Descent of Dragons Legendary. All of that for $19.99 (or 19.99€). Which makes it ~$0.8 per pack with a guaranteed, extra Legendary – much better than any regular pack bundle you can get at the shop.
What’s important, however, is that 50% of the revenue – up to $1,500,000 – from this bundle sales goes towards Masters Tour events prize pools. Since there will be six of them in total this year, if community manages to fill the crowdfunding pool to the limits, it will be extra $250,000 per event – so exactly the same last year. Sadly, unlike last year, there’s no extra Hero portrait to make the bundle more attractive. Players have also asked to remove the crowdfunded prize cap, but it seems that it’s here to stay after all.
Masters Tour Arlington starts just three days from now, but attending players don’t need to worry, as the extra crowdfunded prize pool will be applied to it retroactively after the bundle’s sale ends.
You can purchase it through the in-game shop or the Battle.net shop. Bundle will be available until February 11, 2020.

The cap was already hit. Each Masters Tour event will now have $250,000 extra prize pool, for $500,000 in total.

I got 2 additional legendary+1 golden epic (mana cyclone)
I have been reading about players getting more than one legendary, i only got one legendary plus the free one, and three epics, i always complain about the RNG, but at this point i don´t know what happens with my account.
I too got ‘only’ 1 legendary besides the random one. You can be sure that a) for every one that gets ‘legendaried’ above average, there’s one that’s below (is that correct english!?) and b) you’re not alone. *shrug*
I’ve got 2 legendaries and 4 epics. It’s all about luck
It’s supposed to average out at around 1 Legendary every 20 packs.
With this being a new “type” of pack you’re guaranteed a Legendary in the first 10 packs leaving between 15 and 24 packs to get a second Legendary. So I think the average would be two Legendaries from the packs – plus the random one, giving three in total.
Which is what I got – the lucky part, for me, was that 2 of them were Legendaries I’ve been considering crafting anyway 😀
I really like the idea of those ‘Year’ packs. And that some of the money is for the players who invest their time in playing the game.

That was the best deal I have done with blizzard ever. For 20$ I got 4 legenaries and a few epics. It seems like legendary opening rate is higher… Or I just got insanely lucky for the first time ever.
Wow, that’s some nice luck, congratz! I don’t think that Legendary opening rate is higher, they would probably mention it. 2 Legendaries were guaranteed (one for buying the bundle and one in the first 10 packs) but besides that it just really depends on RNG 🙂

I was really curious since I never had such luck when opening packs and I heard of quite few other players hitting 4 legendaries as well.
I also got 4 legendaries. Lots of people is getting lucky!

Yeah, no portrait is a deal breaker for me 🙁 I don’t really need more Year of the Dragon packs, but I would definitely buy it if it had a cool portrait (like last year).
