Aya replacement?

I climbed to Rank 15 on my friends account without Aya and I used Jade Chieftan as a replacement. A little more costly, but can also come in clutch with a taunt and better evolve target

thats cool for u but hitting 15 is easy even if you replace flametongue. There is no real replacement for aya, if you cant afford her cut the entire package and play sth else.

Well, I meant I hit 15 from like 18 on day 1 of the new season. I'm Rank 7 now with the same list

dang, this deck was my little secret since ungoro release. now everyones using it :( i don't use the 1 drops though. 2 novice engineer, thalnos, 2 lightning storms. instead of pirate and elemental package. those once in a blue moon super aggro starts are gone but it's a much more durable deck this way.

No Jade Spirits? I don't really see any reason not to have them, you get two drops that can later be evolved if you can't get golems out in time, and since you're evolving you don't need to be doing any kind of "return to hand."

Just theory here, but I'd take out at least one of the devolves, considering that they often help your opponent instead of hinder (very situational) and one of the corsairs, and drop 2 spirits in.

I initially thought the same thing and took your advice (-1 devolve -1 corsair +2 jade spirit)... what I consistently found in my ladder play is that there are so many other plays I want to make with 4 mana. I was either so ahead that playing spirt was win-more, or so behind against aggro that it wouldn't make a difference. Also the 2x bloodsail has great synergy with pulling out a patches for a turn two flametongue, and devolve while very situational is your main way to deal with pumped/taunt minions . At the end of the day this is a very aggro combo deck that benefits largely from the fact that most of your "combo pieces" are interchangeable and undercosted. Switched back to the stated list with about 70% win rate

I'm missing Aya so I ran Leeroy instead and it seemed like a decent replacement. Does someoone have ideas for a better replacement?

If I was to put a Eater of Secrets in, what would be a good card to exclude?
Also I seen some lists running spirit echoes, what do u guys think? is this the better list or does spirit echoes have a place here too?

I've tried to use Barnes instead of Aya and it has helped me a bit, as I can get a gangster or a thing, which with evolve in hand gives me a 5 and a 5 drop or 5 and a 7 drop for 5 mana but I wouldn't say it's a better card, I just don't have Aya
