Might as well be Quest Mage

This deck was inspired after seeing Firebat’s Deck Doctor for the Miracle Mage in standard. I actually never watched the video because one hour YouTube videos aren’t my thing (Video Link Here). This whole idea comes from the radiant elemental and Lyra the Sunshard combos. I’ve been playing this deck at rank 8 in wild and it has a 70%ish win rate. I like this deck because like my Arcane Giant Hunter it can destroy your opponent very quickly but have enough resources to last out the game. For example, my current record is a turn 4 concede after play Sorcerer's Apprentice into a Flamewaker that had a The CoinBreath of Sindragosa, Mirror Image, and Frostbolt follow up behind it. On the other hand I might be playing super slowly because no flamewaker and instead let my mechs make a few value trades and burn their big removals fearing mech-mage. I have a lot I can cover relating to this deck as it plays a little differently than miracle Rogue, but the deck is a little more forgiving though Miracle Rogue. I also hope you like the new golden cards I am using for the deck guide.

Card Reasonings

Spare Part Package

The spare part package as slowly become one of my favorite inclusions in multiple decks I have made recently. They are some extremely high value minions in the decks that I use them in. Granting curve ready minions and spells to fuel the late game. I would have made a Miracle Rogue with it, if Rogue actually needed the spells. Thanks to KFT we now can eleminate the Yeti and just use conjurers instead.

Clockwork Gnome A great 1 drop as it can trade into a decent amount of the 2 drops in the game, and also deal with the peskier more powerful 1-drops. This card is essentially a turn 1 Tomb Pillager, as the spare it puts into your hand will cycle nicely on an Auctioneer turn that we take later in the game. Clockworker should also be prioritized being played over Babbling Book if both are in your starting hand. Secondly it is also not worth it to coin out both on turn 1, as the value from using the coin on a Flamewaker or Auctioneer Turn.

Ghastly Conjurer Two Words… Tomb Pillager

Toshley A few more than two words… Toshley is essentially an Aya Blackpaw of a Jade Deck. Extremely powerful but not quite required, but will hurt you if you don’t have it. The card grants 2 spare parts to be used to cycle for only playing 1 card. To touch it off Toshley is no small threat on the board with a beefy 5/7 stat line, to push forward for 7 damage at the face after a possible Reversing Switch. Toshley can also be used to deal with a couple minions your opponents play that you don’t want to use a Fireball on or burst away with a Flamewaker and some spells.

Frost Nova

It might seem weird to run just Frost Nova‘s as the only AoE in the deck but it cycles better with the Auctioneer and also can be used to set up an Arcane Giant finish. The other option which I’m actually experimenting with right now has 2x Blizzard in it. This does better against mid-range decks when you fall behind but is harder to clear excess away with a flamewaker. This is also harder to combo with Arcane Giant to grab the win, as your giants need to be at least on 3 mana or less (before you cast) if you intend to burst for 16 to their face. With Frost Nova you can get away with a 5 mana Giant before you cast if you have an Apprentice down.

Is freezing with Breath of Sindragosa really better than choosing your target with Arcane Blast?

I actually originally had Arcane missiles there, but I against hyper aggro decks like pirate warrior and the rest of them the stall works nicely. A lot of games aren’t actually won with Flamewaker but rather mass fireballs or arcane giants with Alexstrasza

Hmm. Also the freeze seems like a much higher value effect in the late game, since your goal it to use these cheap spells possibly with Gadgetzan.

I play wild mostly, and I exclusively play mage. I love this class cause it can play every archetype, so I pretty much disenchant every other class and craft mage in gold. Do you think Toshley is a worthwhile craft in gold for wild decks mage decks? It seems you quite like Toshley lol, and I’m sure spell synergies will only grow in the future.

I don’t think golden toshley is worth it as I haven’t had a toshley specific deck yet make it to my personal top decks (the pallypony deck seems promising, but you don’t play pally), but he does serve a very high value in any deck that utilizes cheap spells, and can’t always get them effectively.

Also his golden animation looks hilarious as his arms move back and forth almost as if they are seperate from the rest of his body XD

Hope this helped you decide Alsozatch
