This is not “Water Shaman”. It’s Aggro Shaman with the “Murloc Package”. The “Water” decks were named such because they used both Murlocs AND Pirates.

Actually, “Water Shaman” is a mill deck consisting of removal and murlocs (primarily Coldlight Oracles). The deck’s proper name is actually called the “Water Mill Shaman,” but some simply called it “Water Shaman.” Though not really popular, the deck did have a short run in the meta as a response to Renolock holding so many cards in their hand all the time.

Now, as awesome as a deck like that sounds, none of what I said is true. However, this can be said of anyone saying anything without sources to back their claims. Now, a quick search through Tempostorm does show a meta snapshot of Aggro “Water” Rogue, which is probably the basis for your claim. Just remember your sources, next time! 🙂

Was your source suppose to prove Lawn’s claim? It didn’t and your reply came off as condescending. If not to prove it then why post that source? I honestly am not sure what you were trying to conclude and prove here by doing what u did. Furthermore, it’s somewhat common knowledge that murlocs plus pirates equal “water decks.” These water decks are called such presumably and reasonably because they both are in and around water giving the name a clever element. I had good reason to believe that Frozen was the first to use the word “water” (given context) in his deck’s title based on what i’ve seen from this site. So i went to Frozen’s Twitch page and found the following resource for you. https://www.twitch.tv/videos/122174140 If u hit play at 1 hr 40 sec into the video Frozen mentions that it is a water deck because of pirates too, in his own words. If you watch the first ten min of the video it may help you ease.

Hammer of twilight? Why that card instead of Doomhammer?

I think its to combat the weapon removal in the format

Orange says Doomhammer has anti-synergy with Aya.

How? Honestly I’m gonna run this list with Doomhammer. Weapon removal is a lot less common this season anyway

it’s simple: doomhammer has anti-synergy with aya because it blocks turn 6 and hammer of twilight doesn’t (no overload)

I’ve only played this deck a handful of times, but loving Hammer of Twilight in it. By the time I am swinging with it, the game is usually ending so it’s better to not have the overload. The 4/2 has even helped in a couple games.

Why Hammer of Twilight? Isn’t it better to use Doomhammer? Thx 🙂

it’s mainly because if you doomhammer on turn 5 you cant aya on turn 6. 2 mana overload on doomhammer limits what you can do, and thats especially bad in an aggro deck
