Deck Import

Mryagut’s back with another unique ladder climber, this time he employs the Aggro Rogue deck! You have your standard aggro cards with Leper Gnome, Argent Squire, and Arcane Golem, but he also uses the mill deck go to in Coldlight Oracle. The drops never go higher than 5, with the deck topping out at Loatheb who can give you one extra turn of big damage. Finishing your opponent can come down to a big burst turn, and few things do this better than Arcane Golem, Shadowstep, and a Cold Blood or two! You’ve also got the hugely powerful Tinker's Sharpsword Oil, Southsea Deckhand, and Blade Flurry for maximum board and face carnage.

This is a pretty tough deck to play, so I wouldn’t recommend it for climbing ranks.

Guys if you are losing it is because you are bad or just not good with aggro, obviously He knew how to use it because it was in a tourny for god’s sake so obviously it is not “crap”

I would say try Leeroy Jenkins, but if you don’t have that then you could just try a Goblin Auto-Barber.

Trying it out and it’s looking good! 3 wins out of 3 games so far! Switched out one cold light oracle for an ironbeak owl for those pesky taunters

Garbage, I seriously doubt this is the work of Mr.Rogue Yagut.

Can someone suggest a TGT version of this? Is this deck still good with all the new TGT cards in play now?

This archetype (burst rogue) is great for climbing the ladder, but it is meta dependant. It’s best suited against midrange and non-face hunter aggro and is nearly unbeatable on the coin. It has rough mage and warrior match ups and can get out raced by face hunter with a good draw, but the good draws for this deck are insane. I took this deck from level 20 to 10 in an afternoon. It gets tougher the higher you get and at some levels there is just too many control warriors. Post tgt I’ve made some personal changes, but it is still a strong choice.

I can’t figure out how to get this deck to work. I haven’t won one game yet. My other Aggro deck seems to do ok but I dropped from 14 to 12 trying this one out.

This is a LADDER deck. You’ll be fine, until rank 15. Rank 15+ you’ll need a more competitive deck.

i wonder how viable this is to get to legend… seems okay so far

Not the most competitive deck, but it sure is fun to play. Wins more than it loses, but if you’re looking for a high win% deck, I’d keep hunting. Nothing better to satisfy rogue dailies though.

Ok, someone give me a small tutorial on how the hell this deck works. I’m not a bad player, I play rouges decently often, but for some reason this deck just doesn’t want to work for me. I’ve played 15 games and won only 2. The 2 games I won I destroyed them in about 6 turns, so I know this deck has the potential. It seems to me like this deck relies heavily on combos, but in order to get these combos do you have suck off RNGesus or something?

    Any replacement fotr coldlight oracle??

Lack of prep makes it hard to use oil to any effect before turn 5. I had decent success with this in spite of that. I run a second shadowstep instead of a second deckhand. I find it has more utility via card draw (can often mill 1-3 cards off the unsuspecting), with the golems, and occasionally abusing SI:7 combo damage in one desperate instance. Obviously you give something up without a second deckhand.

3 games 3 defeats, worst deck i have ever seen.
1st vs priest who drops zombie cho, coin deathlord, dark cultist and another deathlord in first 4 rounds with my double argent squire and leper in my hand.
2nd vs control warrior with 2 armorsmiths and fiery waraxe vs my 2 oracles in hand.
3rd vs druid who also 1st drops zombie cho and have 2 wraits in hand for my loot horder and charge golem.

Just 1 match with a good top deck player. Don’t be too salty. This is a good deck to climb the ladder.

You’re a genius, Yagut. Who the f**k would ever think an aggro rogue deck would get anywhere in this meta.

I’m also a big rogue player, but I think with rank 13 or better it’ll be much more difficult to survive against others. The point is, u need the right card order and the right combos or you lose the match.

I thought Nostam was the one who revived the aggro rogue archetype?

  26. MeMeMe
    August 8, 2015 at 6:33 pm

    I don’t know what I’m doing wrong.
Hunter? Gets outraced, can’t control them. Just concede.
Mage? No early game presence, minions get pinged. Loses board control and snowballs into a loss.
Warrior? Laughs at your burst. Survives to late and beats you down.

    That’s about 70% of ladder.
How do you win with this deck again? I can’t figure that one out.

Hunter you should be able to outrace if you have any sort of decent draws, Mage relies on getting argent and a blade flurry and warrior you should be able to outrace unless RNG draws favor him. I think this deck is perfectly fine for climbing the ladder

why not worgen instead of leper ? much better with oil… and i dont see for what si7 in the deck… so, i would prefer worgen for a place of leper and barber or even shade of naxx instead of si7. what do you think about this, dudes ?

    • FATHER G00SE
      August 25, 2015 at 4:46 am

The point is burst. SI7 is nice because it can take small board threats off without sacrificing its own health. leper also is a great 1 drop and promises 2 face dmg.

    August 6, 2015 at 9:04 am

I tested this deck, even if I miss a couple cards it makes 18 dmg for the 4 turn just with 1 Leper + 1 cold blood, I missing 1 Argent Squire, so I put a worger 2/1, It make harder for the mages that can’t kill it before the buff

This deck is a BEAST! The meta just ain’t ready for it. Hunters pose a bit of a problem but its twice shut down Grim Warrior’s.
