Mulligans

General Mulligans

  • Tundra Rhino - As the most valued card in the mulligan, it's the only way to have no minions on board and suddenly OTK them.
  • Starving Buzzard and Stampede - Only mulligan one of these two draw engines, or you'll risk overdraw. Buzzard has higher priority than Stampede, so if you see both, toss out Stampede.
  • Tracking and Stitched Tracker - Keep these if you lack either or both a card engine or Tundra Rhino.
  • Tol'vir Warden - Unless you have 2, always keep it in mulligan. Almost as valuable as Tundra Rhino.
  • Timber Wolf - Although an amazing card in this brawl, toss it out if you have Tol'vir Warden as you can fish for it at turn 3 or so.

This Combo Hunter tavern brawl deck is designed to near OTK at turn 5-7, followed by constant pressure by the additional cards from Starving Buzzard and Stampede.

Interesting Choices

Wild?

King of Beasts is often a better card than Eaglehorn Bow in this tavern brawl. Hunter is considered the worst class in wild. Unless you are filthy rich in dust, save that dust for something better that you’d actually after the brawl.

Substitutions

Hunter is the least played class now, and you might of disenchanted many hunter cards. These are good substitutions for the brawl

  • Infested Wolf
  • – Although it’s a decent card in the brawl, Alleycat dilutes Tol’vir Warden’s draw pool.
  • Animal Companion – Leokk is op, everything else is 4 damage, which is generally not enough to put in the non-budgeted deck.
  • Sabretooth Stalker
  • Grievous Bite
  • Nesting Roc – It provides you with the useful ability Taunt, but Taunt minions are hard to fit inside the non-budgeted deck.

Infest is NOT a substitute to Stampede. For two more mana, you get less cards on that turn you played infest.

Conclusion

This burst damage deck swings the game at tun 5-7. Because I’m new to deck-building and I don’t have the sufficient tools to test the non-budgeted deck, let me know what works for you in the comments
