Power word: shield is actually a great addition for Intrepid Initiate, being able to generate a 3/4 turn 1 could be a powerful play. Follow up with reader and it could snowball the game (or even save it for reader on turn 2.)
Voracious Reader‘s power level might be strong enough to create a true aggro priest deck which focuses on dropping their entire hand onboard and refill their hand at the end of their turn. Early game buff targets like Frazzled Freshman and Intrepid Initiate allow a good turn 2 buff target to begin going face or trade up.
Disciplinarian Gandling serves as a mid game threat generator to trigger friendly deathrattles and make the low cost minions into 4/4 threats.
Robes of Protection might be a mistake with all the decks buff spells, but with a full board (or even a partially buffed board) could finish the game out quickly if your opponent can’t trade right away!
