Absolute garbage. I thought they wanted to make priest better! As a 2/2 it is way to small of a statline, super easy for opponent to deal with. Plus one has to already have a minion on board and its effect is random. Shattered Sun Cleric from the basic set might even be better because it has 1 more attack and can be targeted. Also, Shadow Ascendant is literally same as this but 1 mana less and -1/-1 less buff. I feel for this card to even be worth playing in arena it would need +1/+1

The only time I used Shadow Ascendent was in Spiteful Priest, and even then it usually disappointed. I’m not sure +1/+1 on the buff is worth the extra mana, especially when Priest will have no 1 mana 1/3 minions this rotation, unless they print a new one!

If I’m a Tempo-focused or Minion-focused Priest – which is already a big “if” – I’d rather use the new 2/2/3 that gives +2 health.

4.5/5 stars very strong effect that will at least trigger twice, cheap and reliable !

Shadow Ascendant is better, this is like iron sensei that work on any minion

This is just a power creep of a very powerful 2 cost 2/2 priests had except that one gave only 1/1. So we now have a card that gives 1/1 more for same stats and 1 more Mana.

      you mean Shadow Ascendant.

The card was NEVER played by anyone during the entire two years that it existed.

That’s only true if you are talking regular games that thing was a monster in a few tavern brawls and was very nice to get in arena.

Priest always gets good aggro cards, yet the class always fails to deliver…

a 3 mana 4/4 if you have another minions on the board, that grows each turn (as long as you keep another minion on board). This may open the way for a tempo priest deck.
