The Jobs: Classic Profession Guides
Talking about the very best of items, you won’t get around using Classic’s professions. In World of Warcraft, professions are split into production, gathering and service professions.
In comparison to the current iteration of the game, Battle for Azeroth, professions in Classic have very distinct uses and advantages, but also need each other. Enchanters for example not only enhance almost all item gear slots with useful stats or procs; they also create useful items that other professions need to build powerful items.
Most original WoW professions are also designed to fit as pairs, as one character can only use two primary professions at the same time. Alchemists use herbs to craft potions and flasks, so Herbalism is the obvious choice as a gathering profession.
Don’t forget WoW’s secondary professions as well: First Aid may be the most useful leveling profession as it helps with downtime, while Fishing and Cooking will get much more useful in the later stages of the game in terms of dungeon and raid preparation!
