I actually crafted this today, plan was to run it with a board full of taunts in the dk warlock end game, turns out the demon tag wasn’t very good, since weapon will pull it from your hand or u might summon it from your deck when playing the Lackey, so now I run it in Big priest to play with pin size potion and as a Taunt Yasera End Game. Seems decent so far…

The Combo with Spreading plague is probably not consistent enough…

Play Magma Rager + this and you get a free Am’gam Rager

Imagine this pre-Murloc Warleader nerf. *shivers*
Could see play in an egg deck specifically, but really any deck with some AoE buffs like a Murloc Decks (rip +1 Health) could see use. I reckon it could be a win-con for Murloc decks in Wild with Old Murkeye, Brann, and this card (or 2x this card instead of Brann) to swippity-swap twice and essentially double Murkeye’s attack (well, double minus 2). Not to mention if you already have Warleader on board you’re doubling the effect with the double swap. And even if you don’t get the double swap, giving your Murlocs 2 free health is good with Warleader on board. Good card, can see play in specific decks, but allows those decks to shine.

I really wanted to hate on this card, mostly for how useless Confuse was.
But being only 3 mana and neutral opens up a lot of possibilities for this as a finisher in the right deck.
Murloc Paladin, Hadronox Druid, and Quest Warrior off the top of my head combo really well with their high health minions.
Damn murlocs just won’t go away. 5 stars.

This card makes me really happy, I have always wanted to experiment with swap stats decks but aside from tavern brawls I havent really tried (aside from my marin the fox deck) because of how little swap effects there exists (only 4 cards that you sometimes just have to play straight away without using its effect to not lose value that turn) but this card might make me actually try making a deck based around swaping! Eggs and mana adicts! Here I come!!

      What combo?

      • Logic
        December 3, 2017 at 5:20 pm

Ozruk can have really high helath from playing a couple of elementals with the battlecry triggering twice them swapping it’s attack and health he can one hit kill the opponent

You know what happens when u swap stats twice..?

            December 3, 2017 at 10:16 pm

Killy, I think Logic meant that you use the Murmuring Elemental for Ozruk’s ability to give him 30+ Health and then swap it only once, since Murmuring only affects the next battlecry.

I really like the fact that it’s confuse available to all classes. Demon tag’s a nice bonus. You can do some really cool stuff with this.

Any global or area buff cards keep the buff when they swap and applies it again.

So say you’ve got dire wolf alpha and two voidwalker in play. Voidwalkers are 2/3 temporarily. play this. Voidwalkers become 3/2. Wolf buffs again into 4/2.

It also allows you to keep temporary buffs (sort of) .

Say you got 3 2/2s on board. Play Savage roar. Then attack face and play this. Now they’re all 2/4s.

3/3 is not a bad body. Effect is powerful but hard to play bc there are definitely situations where it could backfire. I think it will see standard play. How yet not sure but this strikes me a sleeper card. One of those ones that’s better. Than it looks.

      Dire Wolf + Voidwalkers = 2/3s

Play this = they become 4/1s.

The temporary +1 given by direwolf isn’t an actual counter on the creature, but a temporary global effect; the +1 attack doesn’t translate into +1 toughness.

      • December 3, 2017 at 11:50 am

Well that’s how it’s worked with crazed alchemist for the longest time. Unless they changed that. While the buff is temporary, the act of flipping it somehow turns it into a permanent stat, then it reapplies the buff. I know bc I used to do that trick in my murloc deck with murloc warleader.

Actually it does. The layers in Hearthstone work differently than the layers in Magic, and when stats are reassigned, it reads the cards current stats, not caring for where they’re coming from.

This is very noticeable with cards like Stormwind Champion or Southsea Captain, where stat flips essentially become +1/+1 buffs in addition to stat flips.

    Did someone say, Egg activator?
Think about it. You can cube an egg, then when the cube dies you get 2 more 0/3.
The 0/3’s reverse into 3/0’s, thus killing them. #EGGSPANSION

      I mean, sure, if you like, a 2 card 6 mana 8/8.

But like, we have a 1 card 5 mana 8/8 and a 1 card 6 mana 8/8 in the format already.

      • hihi
        December 3, 2017 at 1:18 pm

ur getting 3 activated eggs, a cube, and the new card, so it’s more like an 11 mana card (That you can spread out across 2 turns), with a statline of 22/24, and they are split across all of the minions, so they can’t get hard countered.

          December 3, 2017 at 10:32 pm

If cube and bonemare become meta every deck is loading up on silence and cube will be a liability.

Spreading Plague next turn this and Savage Roar.

    Oh Boy

      December 3, 2017 at 10:48 am

That’s hilarious! Only problem is a big spreading plague means a big board for you opponent. You probably won’t get many fresh 5/1 scarabs to attack with

      • BellaBoo
        December 3, 2017 at 11:02 am

Maybe Druid DK instead? You’d get two of them onto a largely uncontested board. if neither are cleared, you can do 16 to face next turn with the above combo

Seems lime a very fun, and even at time memey card! Counters Doomsayer, Spreading Plague, and something even small like Druid of the Swarm! This card has a lot of potential!

    “THE END IS COMING!”
    “No.”
Also good totem killer vs shaman (if there is a chance they’ll become a threat with the new cards) and quite great combo with crypt lord. Not really great card but seems good enough to see some plays to me.

Hmm… Could be a lethal combo with spreading plague in jaxe druid or taunts in token aggro?

    December 3, 2017 at 9:34 am

First: wow. Confuse with a 3/3 body.
    Second: wow. A neutral demon.

      December 3, 2017 at 9:20 pm

First: NEUTRAL confuse on a stick
      Second: What about neutral demons?

  18. Irishkid200
    December 3, 2017 at 9:21 am

Confuse with a 1/3/3 body attached, seems like a really good finisher or trade making machine for druid or silence priest if they can’t find their inner fire (if that becomes a thing again)

  19. Crapcrack
    December 3, 2017 at 9:21 am

Not a great card, there is a Priest spell that does the same thing. U get a body but i don’t think it’s good enough.

          December 3, 2017 at 10:02 am

          Spreading plague => void ripper
This is a 3 mana 3/3 (which is ok) that casts a 2 mana spell (really good)
It will be more popular than confuse for sure.

          • Crapcrack
            December 3, 2017 at 10:05 am

U would run this just for 1 hard combo? I know this is better than Confuse (obviously) but not good enough.

    • Leuz
      December 3, 2017 at 3:06 pm

You really think a lot of cards aren’t “good enough”. Do you know how good this is against Priest, Warrior and Shaman?
This card will definitely make the cut, maybe even be a new main card for control decks especially.

      • Crapcrack
        December 4, 2017 at 3:17 am

Against priest this can backfire big, it’s good vs Shaman but i would’nt run this card just to counter Shaman. Warrior?? Not even useful vs Control and Pirate Warrior is not even a good deck.

I see this so good in terms of memes for Warlock in combination with the 5 mana 2/2 summoning a Voidlord 3/9 and then switching the stats to smorc.
Its a Demon so Dk value, you can maybe even drop it after dk to switch Voidlords, Voidwalkers, the new 2drop and Doomgard for so many damages Woah

    • December 3, 2017 at 10:11 am

Or he could just summon this and then you feel bad.

  21. Virilio
    December 3, 2017 at 9:18 am

Wow. This effect can be considered legendary worthy. I am surprised is an epic, either way I don,t see that many applications outside control decks with high health minions.
