People ran whack one ofs for corpsetaker (like the 2/5 windfury hozen or whatever) so running like a Durigible or something in addition to Taelin isn’t THAT unreasonable.

This is how you make a legendary. Although this card would be even better 3-4 years ago. Nowadays considering the powercreep and the general rhythm of the game this probably won’t be played much. Considering this, 2.5/5 at best.
My question is how do we gain the DS in warrior, rush & taunt are easy
But for DS there is only the corrupt mech 3/2 DS isn’t it?
For pala it’s rush that is a little bit harder to get, or you just stick broom & you call it done
There is Taelon Fordring that has ds and taunt, plus is a neutral card. Warriors doesn’t run it usually, but who knows.

A neutral? This is a shame. Varian should be a Warrior card.
Plus I actually wanted Varian as a HERO, for such an important character this should be an obvious choice, while I like Katrana Prestor I’m quite disappointed they still haven’t made him into a hero. He feels like a natural alternative to Garrosh.
If you are wondering why this card feels familiar, is because we had a card like this for Knights of the Frozen Throne: Crosptaker, which I think was with Lifesteal, Windfury, Divine Shield and Taunt. This that idea, but more focused towards Zilliaxs. ANd in that case, I think they tried Lifesteal, before they realized that was probably way to broken and just stick with drawing 3 cards to gain Zilliax Status.
Regardless, I think that we shouldn’t mess with Varian either. Yes, it’s more stylized towards Control, but that still hasn’t stopped anyone from trying it out. 5 Stars.

This would be so much ch better if Zilliax was still in rotation. As it is, I’ll check what options are available and do a proper prediction later.
An 8 mana 7/7 rush, taunt and divine shield AND draw 3 is inarguably good. Only issue is, a lot of heavy decks don’t run all of those keywords.
Divine shield in particular is very good on Varian, but most decks don’t have any divine shield minions and it’s hard to justify tossing out some perfectly good cards to make room for divine shield minions just so you can fit Varian in.
I think Varian is sorta good, but not good enough to see much play. 2/5

This might make big highlander warrior work! Usually though this big draw cards aren’t that good: think of Curator or Countess Ashmore… Yes, this has rush, DS and taunt, but even then it’s not that big game changing effect one would imagine. 3 stars for me, maybe 4 if the meta shifts to tempo/midrange
