So, this could work in Wild just by running those dual class cards from msog without any burgle-like effect, cool.

Decent 2 drop not for its battlecry, but for its stats. I’m not going to play thief rogue Blizzard. But thanks anyway.

Outstanding in Wild if you can curve it with Swashburglar > Patches turn 2 (unless you’re playing against Rogue) otherwise, it’s abit slower 2 drop with 3 drop stats.

It still brings support only if you opt to build an arguably funnier version of Rogue,

    so 6/5.

so basically a 3/4 with rush for 2 mana
    that is broken
even its base stats are not bad, nothing special but can be played in emergency.
they should of at least made it a 1/2 and give it a +2/2 to make its base form weak for the cost

It’s broken if u have something from opponent’s class on turn 1. But who cares about that, 2 2/3 is already good enough to see play even without thief cards.

It’s very easy to get cards from another class, this will without a doubt see some sort of play in burgle or spectral cutlass rogue. 5/5

2 Mana 3/4 Rush if your playing Tess.

Cheap and sturdy Rush Minions is exactly what Rogue needs to fend off early aggression, which has always been her biggest weakness.

Not sure you’d want to run Pilfer or Stolen Steel just to curve easily with this card. Saving it for midgame when you’ve played Blink Fox or Hench-Clan Burglar is just fine. There will be enough random 2 and 3 drops to crash into.

This card is straight value. Also could work with Vendetta.

I think you just play this in a deck with Blink Fox and Hench Clan Burglar, no Pilfer or other nonsense. Most Rogue decks will still want to dagger up on 2 due to Hench Clan Thug. But as a turn 4 play and on this is still pretty good, it gives immediate board impact, is cheap enough it can activate other combo cards, and the best part is if you get a bad card from one of your Burgle effects, it still goes off.

Pilfer is an awful card that no one will play just because there’s a tiny tiny chance you’ll get both that and this card in your starting hand.

So for Tesspionage Rogue, this’ll be a vanilla 2/3 minion on turn 2, or a 3/4 Rush minion for 2 mana later on. Pretty good. 4/5

blanket non wild statements make me sick

True point almost every post I see is this card is bad it won’t see play for this reason. Take a look at tools for it in wild and all of a sudden it’s wow this is really good I’d definitely play this. Even arena gets ignored where it’s very hard to get a deck theme going so you look for value. This in wild you have swashburglar and hallucination which would see alot of play and can easily be good curve onto turn 2. People just seem to forget there’s 3 game modes Standard, Wild, and Arena. Granted wild is usually more dominated by those who have been playing long enough to build a collection of older expansion cards.

        Then I would encourage you not to read any of my posts, since I never pay any attention to Wild ^^;

I’m honestly pretty ignorant as to the Wild meta, so I don’t really have an informed opinion to share there- and writing in a disclaimer that I’m only talking about Standard in each of my posts would be too burdensome. It’s safe to assume that all of my posts disregard other game modes.

nothing personal. not as many people talk about wild. it’s just a thing. it’s sad that it’s a thing

Turn 1 pilfer turn 2 drop a 3/4 rush minion man rogue got an aggressive opening set up with this there’s also coin stolen steel then this and preparation espionage then this. Overall there’s 3 different ways rogue COULD drop this on turn 2 but only the first 2 would be a viable play since espionage early hurts without a drawing card in hand.

    Burgle Rouge? … nah
Tempo Rouge? … now we are talking

It is a good card, but at 2 mana you will not be able to use its effect. Halluzination is gone and so you have to wait until blink fox or prep espionage. Also its not so good in a mirror match. But still 2 mana 2/3 is okay without effect.

You forgot the new classic pilfer card 1 cost same effect as fox stolen steel can be coined into as well.

Burgle Rogue is never going to be competitive regardless of how much people get hyped from this cards. An archetype that insta loses against the same class and has almost no defensive tools can never be good. That being said, I like that they push it because it’s cool to play and cards like that make it more playable.

They gave burgle rogue some support with the one minion that guarantees a card from a non rogue class. Also face collector can rng class legendaries as another possibility. ATM burgle rogue is going to shift more into pirate burgle due to losing kobold to tutor Cutlass have a spell to tutor Cutlass and 2 pirates. So Tess and Cutlass aren’t completely dead against mirror match just not as effective.

        April 1, 2019 at 12:25 pm

I know there’s one (1) card that gives you a non rogue class. I don’t think that two copies of it are enough to have a 5% chance to beat another Rogue that actually has a win condition. Face collector I tried and it’s incredibly slow and gives you neutrals most of the time. Yep didn’t think about the pirate thing and the loss of shinyfinder, but still pirates are not enough to beat the Rogue match up imo.

The only thing that loses out is tess and the Cutlass but for cutless just having the weapon equiped can boost some pirates. Still pirate theif rogue is probably one of the better ways to match up against other rogues as theif. Pirate decks have alot of milling power for your deck and the ideal time to use preparation is after you’ve emptied your deck anyway.also with togwaggle scheme it’s possible to put extra of another class minion in your deck inconsistent but it’s alot better than how it is now.

3/4 with rush. Rabit worgen was 3/3 rush for 3 mana so it is a direct power creep to it. You may say that discover cards from another class is now much more expensive but you will be forgetting the new standart 1 mana discover spells for rogue. Even the stolen steel can give you a weapon from another class. Most likely warrior. Although with the legendary weapons you had chance to get weapons from all other classes. And rush cards are not usually played for tempo so you are guaranteed 3 dmg to a minion. for 2 mana. And if its attack is lesser than 4 you get a leftover boddy.

Probaly not going to be activated on turn 2 unless you played swashburglar, and not good late game. I think this card is overrated but still ok 4/5

Espionage is still a lot of RNG, but with this card rogue gets once more a control and board tool, to make it into the lategame. This card will be in every Rogue deck, where you play at least BlinkFox!!! 5/5

      April 1, 2019 at 5:37 am

The card is really strong on her own but there is a compétitive deck meta in which put this card? like uou said, espionnage is RNG and blinkfox is enough to put this card? Im not sure

        April 1, 2019 at 8:25 am

hm, well, Hallucination was mostly played with Blinkfox in the same Deck. But its rotating. But we got Pilfer, but hm, not that great card tbh. Blinkfox value is mostly good. Playing Fox for only giving this card rush? I think its worth! Is a Lackey a Card from another class? lol. Even if you are unlucky with Mulligans, 2/3 on turn 2 maybe good enough to play it vs aggro for board. But i think you right, you will maybe play this only with Espionage cause only Fox is to high risk. Wouldnt go that far, but its like 50/50… 50 are mine, 50 are yours 😀

This is exactly what Tesspionage needs, something to remove enemy minions and create board presence while waiting for setups. Cards like these are way better for the archetype than the new legendary which is probably useless in most matchups. 4/5 as of now…

We just need something to replace hallucination or something better than Pilfer.. If we get one this might just be 5/5.

The Question is can you get turn 1 a Card from another class in standart? Guess only way is Prep Esspionage and topdeck one.

Kibler’s dreams of making burgle rogue a real thing might just be fulfilled with all the burgle support rogue is getting this expansion.
