Good in mage as long as you hit a secret or a board clear.
As strange as this sounds, this could be broken in hunter. You basically have a one in five to get call of the wild for 8, and instantly win. Plus, they don’t have things that could go horribly wrong such as choosing between doom spreading madness and soulfire.
How the hell is it ”one in five” chance?
Potential sinergy with the paladin quest.

actually, not bad, value-wise.
compare with servant of yogg saron, 5 cost, same stat, cast spell that cost 5 or less on random target. for 3 extra cost you get to raise max spell cost by 5 (so average cost raised by 2.5), plus you get to choose which spell you want to avoid total randomness.
also, the discover mechanism tends to favor high cost cards, since there are less cards in high cost bracket.
Nailed it. So many noobs bashing this card because they can’t see past the stats/mana cost ratio. It’ll be funny to see Paly decks run this as a staple and people start complaining that it’s “OP”.
I completely agree with you, this card needs to at least see some play before being judged this hardcore. Some nice discovers with NO penalties given are avenging wrath, divine favor, muster for battle, a light in the darkness, and many more (also the 1 cost spells and secrets but that’s when you lose a lot of value). If your feeling lucky or just need cards really badly, lay on hands isn’t bad either, it would just suck to heal your opponent for 8.
Also, would be a pleasant holy wrath for eight damage if you draw. Minor detail but I thought I would mention it.

So, it’s basically a 4 mana 5/4 that casts a spell, of your choice, for an additional 4 mana. It draws a card that isn’t in your deck, you get to choose from 3 options, and it affects the board immediately…”wtf did card bl0wz” – Mouth Breathing Neck Bearded Nerd
If all three options are single target based it could be suicide depending on how the rng rolls.
Probably the worst card I’ve seen in a long time. I can’t think of a worse card tbh.
This set is looking like a “pass” with every card reveal smh.
And here, ladies and gentlemen, we have a one trick pony. The one who plays aggro non-stop and cant see that this set is control oriented.
This set is by far the best in terms of control cards being printed.

So, let’s say you got lightning bolt. Does the spell immediately hit X random targets with lightning bolt?
Yes. Also X=1.
Positive effects are anything that AOE’s the board, draws cards, and secrets
Negative effects are any target based card(heals, direct damage, buffs)

The stats are to balance out the spell cost. Think of it like this: the minion itself is only 4 mana and you spend 4 extra mana for a flamestrike or lightning storm without overload. It is for that reason I’m unofficially naming the card “Meme-yeti”
