This is a cool card. It is probably worth it if beast hunter is in the meta.

On turn five, this + Tame Beast = you summon a 2/5, a 4/4 with rush and when it attacks you summon a bearshark… and if Tavish survives, it’s basically game over for you opponent.
    I believe in this card.

And if you played Shando on 3, this could be really stupid.

depends on what level the Tame Beast minion actually is when used on its upgraded form

It’s fine, it’s just that you can only really use this with Guardian Animals, and even then, i don’t think it’s exactly enough, but hey, that’s just me. BUT! Being able to recruit something, no matter how bad the stats are, is still pretty good to have. We’ll just have to see how good Tavish really is, but right now, with the beasts that we have, not looking too good.

    3 Stars for now.

So this is why Unleash the Hounds died.

      I don’t think there’s a lot of 0-cost beasts

I think you misread the effect.
It summons a beast that costs one less than the beast that attacks.
At least I read it that way.
        F. E. a 5 Mana beast attacks, then you will summon a 4 Mana beast from your deck.
