How good this card is depends on whether or not the second and later casts count as “spells” for Medivh and Yogg
If they do, this might be good in some kind of midrangy Druid
    6/10
If they don’t, all this does is stall the board in a class with poor board clears
    3/10

It doesn’t matter if it counts towards yogg for this to be good. That’s just ridiculous.

It’s a broken card that needs to go.

Yeah, “all it does is stall the board.” That just means it gives them time for bigger jades. You know how you beat Jade druid? You beat them early.

Is it a good Card? Yeah can be.

Is it a fking boring card to introduce to hearthstone? Yeah always will be.

Will the scarabs be beasts? If so I am interested to see if I could make a viable beast spell deck.

can some one explain the effect fro me? cuz I’m confused. will this summon as many 1/5 taunts as there are opponent minions?

it summons 1/5 taunts untill you have the same amount of total minions as your opponent.
if you had 1 minion and your opponent had 3 minions, you would summon 2, 1/5 taunts

What Happens when u have the Wapon from Medive with maybe 3 Charges ?

The Cardtext say “cast it again”

You have Zero minions and your Enemy six
    And u Play this ?

    1/5 Tount 5 Mana Drop 1/5 Tount 5 Mana Drop 1/5 ….

Its maybe to Strong :’D to be true

Definitely would make sense if you got 3 5-drops.

Yogg’s casting spells too and it doesnt effect medivh, neither mana wyrm or auctioneer. This card won’t affect this too.

Not always. This card is like frost nova for Druid, very sick Card. Getting 4 minions is 20 Health and like Reno at 10 Health. As You can Play 2: better than Reno and Thats saying a lot.

      Maybe a loooooot better

5 mana for 5-7 1/5 Taunts sounds sweet vs aggro on turn 5 …

The concept of “if your opponent has more minions is a cool one.”

On turn 6 when you play Tar Creeper and Stonehill Defender to doesn’t feel THAT great, and I have made that play ALOT. Those cards are obviously way better than this because the value is not totally in their stats…which suck.

This card seems maybe good in a sort of token deck and in a control deck if aggro is still around but versus control decks it sucks so I hope this card is crap because I dont wanna see aggro decks anymore xD

    Synergy with new druid legendary…

    July 28, 2017 at 1:32 pm

Druid’s Protect the King. Theoretically better, but I don’t think it’ll work. The bodies are good at buying you time, but don’t impact the board much on their own. Could have synergy with Savage Roar, but you’re better off just using Living Mana. I find it unlikely this card will do anything. If your opponent’s board is big enough for this to get big value, you’ve probably already lost.

This could work really well with poison seeds though. Play this to stall a turn, then next turn trade and turn them all into treants: you’ll get some on your side to so you can trade away your opponents treants instead of just being beat down with druids lack of true board clears.

People said the same thing about Protect the King + Bolster, but that never worked out. :/

Does this count as many spells if Auctioneer is in play?

      July 29, 2017 at 12:25 am

That is a good question. I wonder if thats how this new “recast” thing will work

        August 1, 2017 at 8:19 am

same as with yogg. The spell casts itself again, not u cast it again.

I can’t see which kind of rogue archetype could benefit from this card. I think this is a really bad card.

    • Fanderay
      July 28, 2017 at 12:47 pm

My bad. I thought this was a rogue card XD.
Anyway, I still think this is not a good card. Reminds me of protect the king, the warrior card, that never saw any play.

      This is a druid spell

  16. Wywern
    July 28, 2017 at 12:14 pm

Well, looks like control druid will almost certainly be a thing.

    • Heralt
      July 28, 2017 at 2:23 pm

It won’t, unless druid will have some good removals. To get any value from this card, u have to be much behind on board, but as druid you can’t recover if you already far behind

      • Jaych
        July 30, 2017 at 3:12 pm

What, so Wrath, Swipe, Starfire, and Starfall aren’t good removal?

        • Heralt
          August 1, 2017 at 3:32 pm

Are you kidding? No, they are not. Just compare to removals from “classic” control classes: swp/swd, dragonfire potion (and lightbomb earlier), execute/shield slam, hex/polimorph, brawl, different combos with equality and so on. The only good removal just rotated out from standard with year oh mammoth (bye bye mulch), so druid can’t play as #2 on the board. You can skip 1-2 turns for manaburst and then play some big minions to get board back, but you can’t play whole game

        turn 1 pass
        turn 2 wildgrowth
        turn 3 coin Spreading Plague

        enemy
        1/1 pirate with weapon , patches -> 2 dmg turn 1
3/3 pirate which got buffed from weapon – > 3 dmg turn 2
        3/4 pirate which makes weapon better – > 7 dmg turn 3

enemy has 4 minions on board with a total attack of 8 and his weapon with 2 attack
Spreading plague gives u 4 1/5 taunts then which is kinda pretty good vs aggro.

        • Heralt
          August 1, 2017 at 3:42 pm

Yeah, but you cant play card only because it good vs aggro. It has to do something vs mid and slow decks as well.

Did they have to word it this way? Why not do what they did with Unleash the hounds?

      My thoughts exactly.

    • TRPNG
      July 28, 2017 at 12:32 pm

Because this spell can be casted when opponent has no minions, maybe?

    • Raemahn
      July 28, 2017 at 12:37 pm

      (1) Can be case when opponent has zero minions and still generate value.
      (2) Equal to the number of minions the opponent has /minus one/.

      • Raemahn
        July 28, 2017 at 12:40 pm

        Oh, and…

        (3) Adds another counter to the Yogg-Saron stack. O.O

      • Trotticus
        July 28, 2017 at 4:33 pm

It’s equal to, not minus one.

        • Raemahn
          July 28, 2017 at 4:55 pm

          Oops, you are correct.

I am curious about the interaction with Auctioneer as well.

      • Fabian wogatzke
        August 1, 2017 at 8:35 am

        X = enemy minions
        Y = ur minions

        Plague value = 1+[X-(Y+1)]

      Praise Yogg!

    • Fabian wogatzke
      August 1, 2017 at 8:31 am

Cause its not the same as unleash the hounds, since it watches ur own minions too.
If u have 2 minions and ur enemy has 2 minions , this spell will still only produce 1 (1/5), cause u got more minions then ur enemy in that case.

Unleash the Hounds, Druid version. Also, I think it should be called a Locust instead of Scarab.
