1 mana for a lackey, buff to Galakrond (say hello to rogue’s new omega-finisher) and +1 attack is busted. I’m not sure how the ‘nerf’ to lackeys with the new discover a dragon ability will affect lackey rogue, but either way this card should be an irresistible consideration for any tempo deck. 4/5

I’m on fence of this one if you don’t have a minion then you either can’t play or buff opponents then you may get one of the Lackeys that stupid to play without another minion like taunt and evolve. It basically a better card to generate from other stuff than put in deck yourself.

this is more of an Arguable attempt since maybe you just don’t give if you want to give a minion 1 extra attack, but unless you’re playing more of a Control Rouge, I feel like you should still stick with Cold Blood. I don’t think this card is going to cut it or other Rouge Decks. Praise Galakrong feels way too niche to be played unless you are hardcoring Galakrond. Normally, I would give something like this 1 Star, but the only reason why I’m seeing this get some praise is purely for VanCleef or Gadgetzan Auctioneer. So the Overall of 3 Stars is reasonable enough, but I still feel like I’m not going to see Both VanCleef and Galakrond at the same time. I could be surprised and completely wrong though.

it’s similar to sinister deal (trade 1atk for discover)
except it also enables galakrond and umbral skulker
sinister deal is played so this should be ok

I think this card will see play in at least some of the Galakrond Rogue decks that will see the light of day this expansion, but I’m actually not so sure whether it is good on its own or not.
My instinct tells me it’s pretty bad, but I am trying to face my own bias here, since I am biased against low-value cards that make little difference in a game and virtually take away one option from your hand for very little impact on the board. What I don’t like about it is that I don’t see what good Rogue can do with a +1 Attack effect, so I virtually see this card as only a Lackey generator, and not much more. Warrior has a very similar card, but I feel like this one is worse since it isn’t as flexible. I don’t like it a lot because of how little impact it has on board, and I never was a sucker for very cheap, low-effect cards like this one, but I think it will make the cut anyway. There are a number of ways in which Rogue can use cheap spells, the most obvious being Miracle (though it’s an archetype I am not very fond of), but not the only way either. I think we must remember though that it also boosts Galakrond which probably makes it better than its analogous Warrior spell overall. I initially felt like giving it 2/5, but I think it is closer to 3/5 in reality, since Lackeys are good anyway, and Rogue can make great use out of them. The fact it generates a Lackey and boosts Galakrond in the background probably make up for its low impact as a cheap card, while keeping the obvious advantage of low Mana-cost cards that Rogue can abuse in many ways. So, yeah. Guess that’s a 3/5 for this. Not great, but not bad.

I mean to be fair, it is at the very least a 1 mana Sinister Deal at best, expect a bit worse, but it still feels pretty wonky at first. Maybe Miracle Rogue could use this, or A deck that likes using Togwaggle but other then that, it just feels off. Now, with that said; EVIL Cable Rat, for example, had a similar issue, and I am now starting to see how Praise Galakrond is having the same ‘first-glance’ problem, where we treat it too poorly at first, and then it suddenly happens that it saw some play in the future before it might dip back down to more of a utility/niche card. So I believe I’ve failed to truly understand this card, when I remembered that there was a Meta were EVIL cable Rat of all things was actually a scary card. Sure it was more so to do with Shaman, but the Battlecry to make a random lackey was still scary nonetheless. Remember that Rouge’s Galakrond and Invoke makes Lackeys, So I’m now starting to be more and more comfortable with Praise Galakrond.

Honestly, the only thing I really don’t like about it is that it’s _this_ cheap.
I don’t like cheap spells. For some reason.
Obviously you won’t be able to play this on T1, so I would have preferred 2 mana for maybe 3 atk ? That would have been pretty good, kinda like a cold blood, lackey and invoke package kinda thing.
Now as it is, it’s not BAD. It’s just kinda boring, cause it does nothing special other than Invoke, really. I know it’s litterally the point of the card, but I wish it did a little more than +1 Atk besides that.
Also I love Memebaron Togwaggle, so I know I WILL play a Galakrond deck, always liked lackeys and I was upset at Uldum for not pushing Rogue Lackeys, but I’m not sure I will want to use this unless I have powerful drawing engine, cause ending up with a short hand and drawing that could be a disaster.
Overall though, I know it’s a potent card.
It’s just that I don’t see how beside Invoke – adding +1 attack – its effect will do anything that could ever matter in a game.

This card is really good. Generating a lackey costs around 1 mana anyway, so the +1 attack is just a minor plus. The problem is that I still don’t see a deck that could use this card: the tempo deck clearly prefers to use the quest than Galakrond (I highly doubt that there’s space for both of them in one deck) and a miracle build doesn’t normally have minions in board to play this on during the early turns. It all depends on the other cards rogue gets, but for now it looks pretty grim.

      tempo rogue 52% win rate
      quest rogue 45% winrate
so no, I wouldn’t say that tempo rogues “clearly” prefer the quest over anything

Not over anything, just over Galakrond. While I know that tempo rogue without quest is better, I see a lot more quest rogue tahn tempo versions. Tbh, right now it seems like the Galakrond package provides more value than actual tempo, that’s why I said that tempo rogue would prefer the quest over galakrond.

Everything in the galakrond package is fast:
Galakrond gives health, cards that cost 0, and direct dmg
          seal fate is removal
          shield of galakrond has taunt
devoted maniac has rush (probably not played tho)
all those things create lackeys. You may see that as value and not tempo. But really, tempo rogues play a 2mana 1/1 that gives you a lackey.

Generating Lackey is value, but Lackeys themselves are good tempo plays. The problem with the deck is that everything, except for Galakrond and his hero power, is a bad tempo play. Dealing 3 damage to an undamaged enemy minion is NOT fast at all: it’s expensive and akward. Praise Galakrond is giving just one stat to a minion, but perhaps I think that’s the best card of the bunch, since the lost of tempo is compensated by the lackey afterwards. Shield of Galakrond and Devoted Maniac have terrible stats for their cost and do not provide damage to the opponent face nor do them provide some good board control tools.
To be fair, I think that Galakrond for Rogue has such a good battlecry that it may be worthwhile to try the deck out, but right now it just seems lacking.

Except it’s not bad tempo because you get a lackey which is very high tempo and more than make up for it
shield of galakrond’s body would be played for 4mana, so you’re 1mana behind on tempo, and then you play a lackey that put you 2 mana ahead
