I think this card is totally UNDERRATED! why:

    – Aggro will populate meta (mechs, murlocs, secrets, etc)
    – Paladin have A LOT of good synergyze with dragons
    – Dragons are more consistent minions than aggro minions
    – Midrange Dragons took too many turns to work, thus needing a point where u can fully heal and get back to game. HERE IS WHERE NOZARI SHINES!
    – You dont care to heal opponent. If your opponent have less life than you, it means you dont need to play NOZARI and have good chances of win.

MIDRANGE DRAGONS IS THE WAY TO COUNTER META!

You forgot about the mana cost and the dragon support accually being really poor. Maybe next meta:)

i can imagine instakill with card effects like instead heal but harm. But still need a way to get armor to avoid the instakill effect.

Priest is the only class that has access to cards that change your healing effects to deal damage.

Also, if your health is ever reduced to 0, you die… regardless of how much armor you have.

In an aggro meta this could see some play if control paladin is viable

But there is only one question why u want to play this card? Turn 10 you are dead when playing against aggro and vs control its useless. Its 10 mana 4/12 do nothing.

I wouldn’t be sure if that card would see play if it only would heal the player to full life but since this effect is symmetric and it only seem to make sense vs aggro as a 10 mana card this card is just awefull and won’t see the light of the day. Especially paladin who is a class that is great at healing already this sort of card is 100% missmatched. For me it seems obvious that blizzard wants to give paladin all the garbage so that it wont be competetive in the next expansion after being top tier of the last 6 expansions. I mean its somewhat understandable but sucks hard

Flavor seems a bit mismatched, but whatever. I can see this being somewhat good, especially against aggro. I guess I was just expecting something different. 3.5/5

A lot of the most notorious combo decks are leaving Standard, and there are at least two new anti-combo cards being printed this expansion, which means we may well be moving towards an era of traditional control decks where health matters. Also has fantastic synergy with Thekal. I don’t know if a late game Control Paladin will exist in the new meta, we’ll need to see, but if it does, I’d bank on this being in it.

On the face of it, this looks underwhelming. Aggro decks will often kill you well before turn 10, and combo decks can just kill you from full health anyway.

However, this has pretty good synergy with some other cards. Time Out can help you survive aggro decks until you get to turn 10. Thekal can drain your health and pump it into armor, with this restoring your health too, which can put you out of lethal range of Malygos combo decks. Dragon Speaker can give this Ultrasaur-level stats, which would demand premium removal from your opponent.

At the same time, this looks fairly weak against midrange and control decks; if they have a powerful board and are pressuring your life total, this can restore your health but they’ll just bring it right back down, since you can’t play this and deal with their board on the same turn.

Ultimately, I think this is not good enough to see Constructed play. The main reason you want this is for the life gain, and I think Lightforged Blessing does a better job of it. 2/5

Not that this card is BAD per se, and not that the effect can’t be useful, but I just don’t really see why you’d play it. Heal Pally remains a pipe dream of a meme because there still isn’t any payoff. Paladin’s had more than plenty life gain, and Thekal didn’t exactly move mountains. Giving a turn 10 full heal honestly feels kinda bad considering it’s a 10 mana 4/12 that heals you and doesn’t catch you up at all. If you’re staring down ~15, 20 damage on board, this is a slightly better Time Out, at which point you’re just hoping to top deck a board clear.

I don’t see this seeing play unless they print some serious reason to gain life.

      March 29, 2019 at 12:20 pm

Thekal didn’t make waves because a huge chunk of the meta for the past cycle has consisted of combo decks and decks full of overwhelming threats (Cube in particular), which makes traditional late-game control really difficult to actually make work. Those are all going away.

      • Benoitballs
        March 29, 2019 at 1:00 pm

Yes, but the issue still remains: Paladin needs a compelling reason to heal rather than fight for board and push tempo. So far the only support is Thekal (add 29 to you life total granted you heal back to 30), and a 4/4 (gets +4 and taunt if you’ve healed enough).

Unless they release some kind of card that heavily rewards healing, Nozari is probably only going to be a tool to win late against other control decks; and as mentioned above, dragons like Ysera do that way better.

        • MockRock
          March 29, 2019 at 4:23 pm

Sure, I agree you’d put Ysera in your deck first, the question is whether you add Nozari as well. So far a lot of the cards we’ve seen are pushing really heavy late game value strategies, the meta will need to be quite greedy for this to find a home but I’d be surprised if it goes through its full cycle without seeing serious play, the card is extremely powerful in the right environment. Straight-up Control Paladin did used to be a thing and could be again.

          • Benoitballs
            March 29, 2019 at 7:54 pm

The meta would have to be insanely control-heavy for you to be able to throw that much greed in there.

We’ll have to wait and see what else gets introduced for Nozari.

Tree of Life saw zero serious play, and slapping a nearly free 4/12 on top of it probably won’t really do much to help that card’s chances.

The amount of heal support in Paladin really doesn’t change that either. It’s just that the effect is too slow to make a meaningful difference in the aggressive match-up, where the healing this offers matters the most. A somewhat decent upside of the card is that if it gets stuck in your hand early game, it will trigger all of you Dragon synergy cards for the whole of the game.

If it does see play, it’ll definitely be a card worth cutting if you’re on a budget.

    • Benoitballs
      March 29, 2019 at 7:49 am

Honestly, if you’re looking for a big dragon to enable synergy all game, you’re so much better off with Alexstraza.

I agree with you, this card is super easy to cut if you’re on a budget. Given the cards we’ve seen, I would never craft this.

      • Soup And Salad
        March 29, 2019 at 9:43 am

I’d say Ysera is better than Alexstraza in a slower Paladin deck since Paladin can burst kill like a Mage can.

          March 29, 2019 at 9:50 am

Either one works better than Nozari. Ysera certainly provides a lot of value for a deck that appreciates it.

    It’s.. an interesting legendary.

Useful? That remains to be seen.

It is very situational; you need to have survived until turn 9 or 10 in a game where you have taken more damage than your opponent. Perhaps your deck will begin to out-value your opponent’s deck, and perhaps, just perhaps, this card buys you the time you need to turn the game around in your favor.
    – But it won’t turn the game around on its own. It is not a game winner. It only works if you are actually the underdog. It is a card made to try to pull a win from a likely defeat..
.. not sure about this card at all.

Yes, I was thinking about keeping the Coin for a turn 9 play.

Sure its a Reno Jackson but this doesn’t crush aggro like Reno because of its cost, i only see it useful with High Priest Thekal for a 29 hp heal, Reno control paladin might become a thing, 3/5

    March 29, 2019 at 5:23 am

An expanson ago i would say dust it. But with the ice blockspiromancer board clears shrink rays, ardor peacekeepers. Paladin suddenly got tons of control options. I think he has more control minions than threats any deck can muster. while simply waiting for your OTK. I mean shirvala does not deal 30 dmg. But in wild you can find use for it. Your OTK comes from a hero card and no one can play around it. So with enough time you are guaranteed to kill your oponent anyway.
Now do not compare this to tree of life. Tree of life could revitalize your minions and cast on full board can overcomve the 4/12 stats you are getting from this. And while for priest 10 mana dragon reno jackson is slow. Paladin can work with it just fine.
And it is dragon so who does not want a dragon ?

There’s 2 things I see from this card: it can save you when you’re losing, or it can be pretty damn nice BM.

Having a Tree of Life but as a Minion is pretty nice. Yes you can use Dragonspeaker as well for the meme-sake, but I think one of the core Purposes for Nozari is to Stop the more aggressive decks out there; such as Aggro, Tempo and even Midrange (Even though Paladin himself as been all of those). So, this minion is going to see some play, especially with the Idea of Thekal, but as I’m thinking about it now; Trying to build some sort of control Paladin Deck with the combo of Thkeal and Nozari; It’s going to be an Expensive deck to create.

Control Paladin is easily going to get somewhere around 5-8 Legendaries with those two cards included (Maybe even 1-2 more for good measure), and it’s purpose is going to be for an average High Tier game (For Rank 5- to Top Legendary), that might become slow and really expensive to actually make, if the deck has a good win rate.

On the Plus side, and like I stated, if you draw this card and play it on turn 10, it’s more or less likely a middle finger to your opponent for playing more aggressively than you or if both of you are playing control decks, then You can consider this as a “anti-Fatigue”, even though your opponent would get fully healed as well. This would be an amazing card for Millling, but I don’t think that we have a Mill Paladin deck right now, but who knows maybe in the future we will see something like a Mill Paladin.

Keep your eye out on this card, because it is an interesting one. And I’m curious to see what power Nozari is going to aim for first.

Agreed. This seems like a very good card for control Paladin. With the support to secrets with their other legionaries could help the early game and the good old Equality Pyro combo will still be around. I do think some more board spells like consecration will be needed but as it currently stands, the deck could look really strong. This card could benefit from all the healing support we got in Rastakhan and might be the boost the deck needs or maybe heal paladin could become the control paladin that people are theorizing

    2 Cents:

Wow. The push is on. Ladies and Gentlemen, Dragon Paladin’s here!

However, why the mix up with Healing synergies? Confusing as it seems, but I can only see Nozari being ever used as a last ditch effort to survive a game you’re already losing.

They have more dragon supports, agreed, but it seems all out of place. They have the card that gives a dragon in your hand +3/+3, and for the purpose of what? Just to trade? Cause if your game plan is really to win, I guess it would make sense to pursue with the Aggression or efficient trading, rather than stalling just for the sake to play Nozari.

I am quite happy for the Dragon Paladin push, however, this card.. It makes literally little no sense in winning games. If only the Hero Card is still active, Nozari might’ve been a good stall option.

Not ruling out the card yet, however, I feel that it’s a bit lackluster, but at least it’s on theme with the Healadin thing.

Regardless of whether this is enough to make Heal or Dragon Paladin good, this thing is the absolute nuts

So is all the defenders of Dalaran classes getting a 10 mana 4/12 dragon?

Nah… Hunters already got a 10 mana dragon, and dragons in druids is just silly.

I was excited to see that my assumption of paladin getting a bronze legendary dragon was true. However, I was expecting it to have somewhat different effect. Something to support dragon paladin. I have to be honest tough that the card represents what bronze dragonflight is all about: they are keepers of time, hence Nozari has the power to reset both players health to full.
As for the card alone, I have mixed feelings about it. It is insane against aggro or somekind of burst decks, if you survive that long. But surviving that long usually means that you should be favoured anyway. There is some potential for this card to shine against midrange and control decks. In theory it could help you outarmor the opponent with Thekal and at the same time, use the tempo of your other dragons to control the board.

Here is the thing: this can be good. Healpally is an archetype wich wasnt playable a long time. We have Cards like High Priest Thekal, Drakkari Defender, great heal value with Kangor. Some Hakkar/Control/Dragon Pally? Dont see any advantage to heal the enemy to full health. Only in long control matchups, where you can mayba outarmor your enemy with Thekal. But there can happen a lot. Not finging Thekal maybe. I just like the card, its a dragon, you can buff it with new cards. But Keep in mind that pally wasnt one of the originally dragon classes. 3,5/5

    March 29, 2019 at 1:08 am

Ok I’m not sure why you’d play this but it’s basically the one druid card with a body granted if your opponent was something like control this might be needed to keep from dieing. Will have to wait and see if anything shows up to support ATM best result is that after play this your taunts should be 8/8.

    • Lluadian
      March 29, 2019 at 1:11 am

Wait NVM there is 1 card this supports if you pull high priest in the late game this could be usefull but not to sure you’d make that play.

      • Skoopy
        March 29, 2019 at 1:18 am

This Dragon alone is not enough support for heal Pally :(. Sadly. Cause i tested this archetype a lot the last weeks. It is maybe Tier 3 right now.

        • Nickus89
          March 29, 2019 at 1:28 am

Sadly, based on numerous testing, I have to aggree with you. It seems that heal paladin is a solid archetype, but is always missing some crucial part that would bring it to top tiers. On the plus side, it doesn’t need much.

        • Essexmcintosh
          March 29, 2019 at 5:37 am

I’ve been playing even spell healadin recently. Nozari is not the support that it needs. it either needs a second pay off, self damage that isn’t a weapon, or a spell that heals minions. light forged blessing is a good pickup, and a third ring the bells/blessing of kings/spikeriged steed wouldn’t go astray.
