    This has huge High-roll potential.
Lots of 5 drops with good effects like Rush, Charge, Taunt, Divine Shield, etc…
Not to mention Deathrattles like Convincing Infiltrator or Waxadred.
This will see more play than currently expected

We saw that you liked RNG, so we doubled your RNG and put an RNG in your RNG so you can RNG while you RNG.

A new low-roll for evolve or Apexis Blast.

Great card if you manage to tag a deathrattle minion. As a rogue you can also shadow step the one that you picked to dodge the easy death good trick if there’s a useful deathrattle. The usefulness of this card will basically depend on what the 5 Mana pool is like.

I honestly don’t understand what they were going for here. Yes, it’s true that Mages are known to summon minions in various ways, but I don’t see how this fits class identity for Rogue. What’s the lore of the card supposed to be? I’m really confused. Someone please comment and explain to me if they get it. Gameplay-wise I honestly don’t understand what deck or mechanic this card is supposed to push, and lore-wise I don’t understand what this is supposed to represent _especially_ on the Rogue side. Summoning random minions isn’t really a Rogue thing; I don’t get it.

Jandice Barov is a boss in the WoW dungeon this expansion is based on. She is known as the “Mistress of Illusion” and during the fight she splits herself into multiple illusions and the players have to find the “right” Jandice to defeat her. I assume this card’s summoned minions are supposed to represent her illusions. I’m not sure how it will fit into Hearthstone gameplay-wise but that is what I assume they were aiming for thematically. 🙂

Okay, thanks for your help! Actually, I thought this was supposed to be something along those lines but I’m still a bit confused with the way they took to represent that. I would’ve picked something like a 4/4 statline and a Battlecry that goes : secretly choose one, the other two are destroyed after taking damage. Thanks still 🙂

    Random legendaries are ALWAYS good

…unless you get a two one.

This is 100% worth the slot in Highlander Mage, there aren’t many good 5-drops for the curve in Mage (I was running Big Ol’ Whelp for a while in ~500 Legend and this is definitely better). Not overwhelming, but solid and has Khad/Conj synergies too.

    Solid in Gala/Highlander Rogue too.

This isn’t a game making card, but its good tempo/value. Worth the slot. 4.5/5

Why are we hyping over a card that is THIS bad? I guess we’re just really starved for new content huh?

    Can it summon itself?

combo with Khadgar or Shadowstep, decent card for both classes. Also drawn from Togwaggle or Gala can be a juge swing

There are some pretty nice 5-manas with deathrattle: A’lar, Convincing Infiltrator, Waxadred. 12/7 in stats on average for 5 mana is pretty good value. Even if one minion secretly has less health than it claims, your opponent still has to devote resources to it to get rid of it.

Some cool high roll scenarios, but I think getting a Chromatic Egg or Desert Obelisk even once may make people bail on the card.

FINALLY! A well-designed card for Mage! It’s also really powerful. I’d say it gives you a little bit more than Apexis Blast and it has no requirements.
It also has tons of synergy in both classes! Mage can use it with Khadgar and Conjurer’s Calling, while Rogue can bounce it and the stuff it summons.
The downside will rarely be important. First of all: You choose it secretly. Second: You will often summon something with low health that is easy to kill anyway. Third: Most classes cant deal 1 Damage on-demand. So unless you have a great highroll and you’re up against Mage, this downside wont hold Jandice back.

To me, this is a card you play everywhere: Tempo Rogue, Highlander Mage, Highlander Rogue, Casino Mage… Well, not Spell Mage obviously 😀 But to me this is 5 Stars!

This can’t be over 4 stars but i really think it is 3 maybe even 2. Apexis blast is a bit better as it deals 5 dmg so u can clear and summon a minion at the same time. Pretty bad comparison as your main goal is to clear/deal damage with apexis blast as with this card it is just to summon. The upside is that the card has no requirements to be played which is nice but I just can’t see this card being competitive. Maybe it can be ok in this expansion but it will be unplayable later on as for mage and rouge idk.

Okay why the heck is this a 2/1…..? Should be at least 3/3. You can’t even discover what you get, chances are you get little to nothing outta this… Ugh. Unless there is some new powerful 5-drops this won’t be very good.

I’ll be pessimistic and give this 2 stars.. Which is damn shame.

Another neat buff for this card would be to give it stealth. It would fit the theme of the card well and since it’s a dual class card between rogue and mage it wouldn’t be out of place.

I don’t know it can combo with quite a lot.
Witchy Lackey, Conjurer’s Calling, Shadow step, (for the one shoot minion)
Khadgar to get four 5 mana minions.
        For example. 🙂
        Think it can see play.

I totally agree. This is awful.

There’s only a handful of really good results (earth elemental for example), but most of the time this will be
      “5 mana: summon a random 5-drop, a 2/1, and a X/1 (most likely a 5/1 or a 4/1)”

İs it 6 mana or 5 mana (you wrote 6)

Khagar Mage is back baby, Woo!

Neh, but in all seriousness, this is actually not too bad; but it’s just awkward. THey way on how I’m reading it, is that you get 2 random 5 mana minions, but in reality, that 5 Mana minion had to die first..? for that other 5 mana minion? I’m defentially either reading this wrong, or it just has a bizarre flavour for now, up until we know what it means.

Regardless; just pay attention to the board, because that other 5 Mana Minion is just enough to be important.

3 Mana if it’s a 5 Mana and a Delayed 5 Mana, but 4 if both are out and it just has some weird text that could have been a Deathrattle or something.

I think its like it secretly changes one minion’s health to 1.

Interesting design but hard top evaluate for the moment. Might need test with different strategies. Mage’s Kaghar and Conjurer’s seems good start. Rogue has a bunch of options too.

    July 27, 2020 at 5:51 am

Uhh tough to evaluate, on its face it’s not the best, since the minions are random and your opponent can usually guess that the one with lower health is the one you gave reverse-poison. It’s like a random 5 drop and two 1-Health minions for 5 mana which isn’t impressive.

You’ll have to find a workaround. A big one that comes to mind is Bamboozle- both her and the illusory minion are great when attacked. For Mage Idunno, you can save up and use conjurer’s calling to negate the auto-death, maybe it ain’t bad with Khadgar either?

This card seems very powerful if you want any 5-drop whatsoever (bar combo’s) in your deck. What are y’all smoking?? Probably the BEST standalone 5-drop minion in the game available to these classes! You get a 2-1 to compensate for potential sub-par rolls, and two 5 drops which you pick the brittle one and the opponent needs to spend resource on killing this stupid illusion which, if it goes unchecked, can deal decent damage next turn. Pair this with a synergy card and you have insane tempo. I’m only sad for Evolve Shaman players.

Fist I was like what all cards die once they take (enough) damage…
Before realizing it dies from any damage. xD
A real fun, and weird card.

not good for mage but might be strong in rogue because of shadowstep and mana discounts by galakrond and togwagle
