How does corrupt interact with mana discounts? Like, if you draw this off of skull so it costs 0, does it become corrupted if you play a 1-cost card? And then does the corrupted version still cost 0? If so, this card has HUGE high-roll potential.
you can corrupt it with a 1 cost if you draw it off of skull and it still costs 0
Okay but hear me out. This card is bad. The only more expensive cards in Soul Demon Hunter all synergize with Weapons and hero attacks, with the exception of Kayn, Skull of Guldan, and Malicia. Why replace Marrow Slicer and Aldrachi Warblades with this Weapon that could very well be just a 3 mana 4/3. Aggro DH wouldn’t run this because it costs too much. Demon Hunter just has better tools right now.

Hmmmmm… Is this card really that good? To corrupt this into a 4/3 3 mana weapon, you’d need to play a 4+ mana card first. And if you’re gonna play a 4+ mana card, why not just play Marrowslicer?
So comparing this to Marrowslicer, you’d have to play this on around turn five, while you can play Marrowslicer on turn four, but you’d get +1 Durability for your weapon if you play Felsteel. In other words, it’s a slower version of Marrowslicer with greater payoff in the long run.
I’m not too sure, but I’d call this 4/5. Not gonna lie though, a Marrowslicer with +1 durability definitely has serious potential.
There better not be any handbuff mechanics that can target this on Demon Hunter… Like never. Otherwise this will be so busted
