She seems like she could be pretty powerful in some kind of miracle type deck that utilizes cheap spells and Gadgetzan Auctioneer.

    Violet Teacher on steroids.

:::open mic night at the Legerdemain Lounge in Dalaran:::

“You know, I once tried to buy an ‘exotic mount’ in Dalaran. Turns out I ended up shuffling a bunch of Hungry Crabs into my deck, if you know what I mean.”

    :::groans and muted applause:::

“Our next performer to the stage is…”

    Just play cheap spells 4Head

The higher your mana cost, the more ‘good stats’ isn’t good enough to justify your existence, due to the nature of Hearthstone removal. Poor Gruul.

This can combo with a barrage of cheap spells to powerful effect… as can other, cheaper cards. Playing this and unloading a bunch of cheap spells represents a huge investment, but the payoff doesn’t justify it so I don’t expect this card to be a part of any serious decks. 1/5

This will be a mage card with all those small spell generating cards toss out 1 sorcerers apprentice with this and spam field full of 3 cost beasts. There is also paladin druid and Hunter that that use it. Likely there will only be 1 copy in a deck. Overall it’s a decent card and the pool it pulls from is pretty decent.

For sure, not horrible, but also not good enough to see any sort of play. It just costs too much for what it is. 3/5

    The art is awful

Agreed. I feel like this card art, along with several others, doesn’t fit the theme of the expansion at all.

If the mana cyclone deck is viable i think this will be in it. Also a good top end finisher in any spell heavy deck.

    Um.

    Why?

    It’s not bad.
    It’s not good…
    It’s just…why?

Cause small spell decks are making a comeback.

problem is most of those decks are aggro based and dont want to wait for turn 7+ to unload their damage

Right, but the effect is powerful, so it would be overpowered if she could be played early in the game. So she’s here if you want to take that concept and put more of a midrange twist on it.

Don’t need to wait really if top decked Ray of frost in later game that’s 2 3 cost beasts at 9 Mana.

    My thoughts
Her stats are somewhere between decent and good,
Has interesting effect with some high rolls in the form of mukla and ornery tortoise,
Comboing this on t8 is bad because 8 drops should be big swings or just winning the game like anything from kft
I don’t have high hopes for this, but I am prepared to be surprised

3-cost Beast is oddly specific, but not bad, a couple good hits at that cost (Mostly Mukla; Ironfur Grizzly, Jungle Panther, Ornery Tortoise and Emperor Cobra are good enough as well).

My real question is why is a “Mountseller” a 5/8 minion? So this Mountseller can slay two Chillwind Yetis in single combat? Defeat a Bone Drake and live to tell the tale? The picture appears to be a random townsfolk – I think a bit more attention needs to be paid to matching the look and feel of the card with it’s stats. While the effect is flavorful, the look and feel of this card is not.

C’mon, everyone knows Exotic Mountseller would beat Illidan Stormrage in 1v1 combat

      /sarcasm

In standard, the only 3 cost beasts will be Augmented Elek, Blink Fox, Black Cat, Duskbat, Emperor Cobra, Ironbeak Owl, Ironfur Grizzly, Jungle Panther, King Mukla, Messenger Raven, Ornery Tortoise, and Silverback Patriarch.

Kinda ok if you’re a Small-Spell deck and want a different high-end payoff card than Auctioneer. Druid, Priest, and Mage might be able to pull it off.

Cheap spells + Khadgar synergy. This is a great fit for spell tempo mages to maintain tempo & get value. 4/5

if there wasn’t a 30 card limit, sure, but there’s so many better ways to get that value. I don’t see this making the cut

Top deck Ray of frost in late game and that’s 9 Mana summon this freeze 2 minions and summon 2 3 cost beasts.
