good buy secret pally good buy freez mage. This card can be very good or very bad… depending on the meta so near impossible to evaluate.

Everybody take a step back. Consider this, this card doesn’t hurt secret pally, because it probably won’t be played that often. It HELPS secret paladin because of one very specific card… Lorewalker Cho… Imagine this. Turn 1: Secret Keeper… Turn 2: Lorewalker Cho… Turn 3: 1-3 pally secrets, let your opponent play them back at you. Turn 4: Eater of Secrets! Secret paladin could actually become stronger after this card is released.

Let’s pretend that everyone is going to use this card in their decks… Oh well, now nobody uses secrets anymore. What’s the point of making secrets and then making a 4 mana card that destroys all of them plus become powerful by them. That’s stupid. Pala secret needs to be nerfed somehow but this is not the way, you’re making all the secret decks unplayable.

you can currently STEAL enemies secret and make it your own … i dont think this is as op as stated

Then the number of secret pally’s will decrease and then people will take this card out of their decks because there aren’t as many secret pallys, thus secret pally will be ok. That’s how this works.

This card isn’t OP in anyway. It’s only really strong if you’re playing secret pally and have like 5 secrets up at once. That is what this card was made to punish. On 1-2 secrets this card is rather zzz and there are better cards you can play in it’s place.

Basically if the meta is filled with decks that run many secrets such as secret pally, this card shines. In a meta of hunters and freeze mage which generally have 1-2 secrets up at a time Kezan will still be better (plus Kezan has better stats so it’s more useful as a plain vanilla as well). If you have this card in your deck and it’s played as a vanilla 4 drop 2/4, it’s bad.

relax we already have flare, and kazen, this card will not be different…

you can use this card if you want an
    alternative to kazan..

kezan only gets 1 secret,Flare is only for Hunter, do you even know the cards and classes ?

I really don’t like the eater of secrets. It may counter secret paladin but mage and hunter will fall too
especially freeze mage that needs to rely on ice block and ice barrier to get a few extra turns

relax if that was the case kezan would have been run, this card only counters decks that run 3 or more different secrets

kezan was ran against mages. The reason it isn’t currently is because as you stated it doesn’t really counter secret pallys. But with this card it can counter them all since its not class bound and removes multiple secrets

In my opinion, this card will be run about as much as Mind Control Tech, if not less. If it starts to get run commonly, nobody will play secret decks. Secret Paladin is already going to be pretty bad with Avenge, Shielded Minibot, and Muster for Battle cycled out. I can only see this card being run in an insanely techy Renolock. Many are just applying this card to the current meta, but they don’t understand that (1) the meta will be different after the expansion, and (2) if this card starts getting run, it will CHANGE the meta so that secrets or no longer good.

I know, this is a card that stops decks from growing out of control.

Just to keep in mind that we don’t know what other secrets will come out for paladin, mage and hunter, all in all im sure this card will still see some play.

This is a new BGH. This will probably end secrets for a while, but when this rotates out of standard, we will see a wave of secret decks…

well have fun waiting for 2 years for it to rotate out

i was sad because patron has been nerf for a reason unknow ( for me ), now we have a really counter vs this FU…. secret paladin totally unskilled , R.I.P secret paladin 😀

Yea just a bad card against everything not named Jaina, Uther, or Rexxar, but with how powerful secrets are for them, this is going to become THE all-encompassing secret counter that everybody’s going to run, because secrets are the most annoying thing for new and skilled players. Thankfully, this may actually lead to the death of secret use, and allow Aggro decks to have a better chance after this Control-heavy meta. I’m not just talking Face decks, but also decks like Murlocadin and Zoolock that just play fast and play hard from the start.

I already hate this card. Not because it counters secret pally, but because everyone will use these to counter secret pally. When everyone has one of these in the deck, basically every time you play against a mage, you will win if you draw this card. WHAT THE F*** WHAT WAS WRONG WITH MAGE SECRETS??? This crap happens because blizzard is afraid to nerf secret paladin. Which is because retarted kids buy packs to get cards to play secret paladin. I think I just started hating blizzard.

One card that kills 3 decks… Secret pally, freeze mage and face hunter. A bit too much?

      March 17, 2016 at 12:38 pm

You are so right. This card will definitely be nerfed once the metta changes.

Based on current meta is a strong card but it probably affect the meta so deeply it will change ,so the card itself go to waste standig as a potential treat. 3 class only have secrets, against face shaman , patron, renolock and zoo it is really useless…. We probably will have wave of secret, then everibody add this, so no more secret, so the card goes out … periodically . You win if you ride the tide.

works great for secrets… but as a friend pointed out….we’re still going to have to grab our ankles and smile vs turn 2 Freezing/Explosive trap

Trash cards to replace top tier and other cards to damage the Wild format.

Blizzard really hit the jackpot here giving a neutral answer to secret pally

Guys, what about freeze mage? We’ll be left with tembo-based decks only…

basically 2/4 cast flare but more.

    love it.

2/4 cast flare gain +1/+1 for each secret destroyed instead of draw 1 card….

Strong card, but 1 for tech only I say

    • Mccain
      March 13, 2016 at 1:16 pm

I know but Keyzan found its play as a tech card as well and so this card will either
      especially with Brann synergy 😉

      • Mccain
        March 13, 2016 at 1:30 pm

But the big disadvantage for this card is its stats
2/4 for 4 Mana just as a card itself are quit bad if you are not able gain the affect

        • Nightfall
          March 13, 2016 at 2:09 pm

indeed, but in a meta where secrets are used alot this card it REALLY good, this is one of those cards that stop certain decks from growing to strong

      • iron
        March 30, 2016 at 7:31 am

it shouldnt have brann synergy since first battlecry breaks all secrets … then again void terror can eat the same minion twice so idk …
