Give me a link to the music that plays when you play this card, or write the name of this composition.

Deathwing + Commanding shout board clear combo? While you do have to collect both in your hand to pull it off, you don’t really lose a card since commanding shout draws you another.

Great card for a turn 10 board clear with shout there’s also the fact that this is almost same principle as warrior dropping a brawl. Of course if you have minions on board you could suicide them into enemy units to point this would either love or with shout every enemy would die if they were posted. It really isn’t hard for warrior to set up a board for this you could even run it in a controlish mech warrior. Most time when I play that deck my minions are for suiciding anyway or my boards clear.

Hm. Reads like it will attack all other minions simultaneously (read: deal 12 to each other minion). Which he definitely won’t do.

My question then is: With which minions does he start? Your own? Your opponent’s? Random attacks?

Better twisting nether with combo potential and even better tempo play on turn 8 with near empty board 4.5/5

    it’s nice when it’s an empty board…

It’s good to see you again, Buddy.

You could argue that this is a just either another version of Brawl but as a Minion, or even a worse version of King Mosh, back at Un’Goro, were Deathwing is bashing its head against everything until it dies. However, with the help of War Master Voone, you can choose how many Mad Deathwings you want. They are now so many AOE Removal Spells for Warrior that now he doesn’t know how much or even WHAT warrior wants anymore, in terms of Control. In terms of something like Dragon warrior though, we have Rejoiced. Just Picture it as a Late-Game Brawl with a Mix of King Mosh. And Yes, once it touches poisonious, it just instantly dies. 4 Stars.

It’s really hard to make up any excuse as to why this card wouldn’t be 5/5. Warrior has absolutely no problem getting into turn 8 right now and it also has some of the best dragon synergies in the game atm. The only thing that can render this card useless is stuff like freeze trap and poisonous minions which aren’t very common things and are mostly locked behind two classes.

Against aggro decks this is almost like a better twisting nether. Against mid-range decks it can clear 2-5 minions and against control it’s a big threat that can’t really be dealt with damage spells. With 10 mana this comboes nicely with commanding shout to kill everything under 13 health.

It’s not meta defining by any means but there’s no real reason not to include this in most Warrior decks. Heck imagine copying this with War master Voone and playing them on turn 8 and 9, there is very little the opponent can do to keep up. There’s also the Boomship and what not. 5/5 IMO. I can’t think of anything that suggests otherwise.

in case you missed this little detail it says “all minions” including your own, so when you play this he goes ham on all minions, this is why i think this card is terrible and should be not played from hand

Oh damn I didn’t realize that.. That does change quite a bit to be honest. Not that big of a deal in a control deck though.

Guess that makes it less likely to be in every mid-range/control decks then. 4/5

And how often does warrior has minions in his board? Control version not that often. It is insane board clear or big treat kind of card.

Yaeh just trade your minions before playing this

This is a really fun iteration of Deathwing! I am not assured about the sheer power of the card, but it really captures the flavour of Deathwing, I believe. Right now I don’t think there is a deck that actually wants to play this: could be used as a big removal option for control warrior, which could start running the dragon package from rastakhan.

Would have been good with evolve for shaman. Pity that it will be rotating out.

Ir your opp has 7 * 10/10, this kills all of them or just 2 and then dies?

    • Thraben
      November 2, 2019 at 3:21 am

It will keep attacking until it dies so it kills two in this case. With 10 mana you can do commanding shout and play Deathwing to clear anything under 13 health though.

There’s a huge amount of possible boards it can clear. The only thing that hard counters it is freeze trap and poisonous minions.

This is like a volcano except it costs 8mana

It also affects only the enemy board, doesn’t overload you and might leave you with a 12/0-12 minion on board depending on how much it clears. It’s way better than volcano.

ALL minions. All as in your own. It’s why this card will be awkward in any sort of tempo deck, and control decks don’t really need a big pile of stats. It essentially is another brawl, which is still good.

This is like a volcano except it costs 8mana
if volcano summoned a 12/12 when cast on an empty board
and if it summoned a 12/6 when cast against a 6/6
and if it could kill 3 yseras
so basically it’s nothing like a volcano

you have to look at it like a 8mana 12/12 with rush+

It’s an 8 mana 12/12. That’s insane. Control warrior wants this card.

Might be in big warrior, you could potentially recruit this, oddly enough the Deathwing from Old Gods would work well with this as it summons it from your hand, although getting it off the lackey might be helpful if your opponent has a giant board

    • Thraben
      November 2, 2019 at 3:26 am

Why in any scenario would you want to recruit this? It’s a 12/12 for 8 that attacks all enemy minions, naturally you’re going to want to play this from your hand. Even summoning this with Boomship is bad compared to playing it from your hand.

Also… You don’t need to build a deck like Big Warrior around this, almost every warrior deck that isn’t aggro will want to play this. It’s too great of value to not include it in most decks.

this card is just bad if it was at least “all enemy minions” it would be less terible, my poor deathwing what have they done to you

I don’t know about that, combine it with commanding shout on turn 10 he doesnt die and you get all those damaged procs for stuff like berserker in addition to wiping most enemy boards.
