Blizzard just posted an interesting teaser about announcements / dev spotlights for some of their IPs. Apparently, we’re getting something for Hearthstone on February 9 at 9:30 AM PT (18:30 CET) as a part of the broader “Blizzard Showcase”.
There are only two possible options, really – either it’s about the new expansion or the next Standard year. Or maybe even both at the same time?
We currently estimate that the next expansion should be releasing around mid-March, so we should hear about it around early-mid February (depending on how long they want to make the reveal season). As for the next Standard Year: in 2025 it was announced 5 days before the expansion reveal, and in 2024 it was just a day before it. Either way, those two announcements should be close together, so February 9 would fit either (or, again, both).
Anyway, it’s nice to know that we won’t have to wait long to get some news!
