Battlegrounds Combat Bug – Fights Not Registering Properly

If you were playing Battlegrounds over the last few hours and you’ve noticed some weird combat behavior, don’t worry, you’re not taking crazy pills. There’s a bug in which combat happens separately on each player’s screen (I’m not sure if it’s ALWAYS the case or it only happens sometimes). Very often it leads to the same result anyway, but in some closer matchups you might get a different result than your opponent… which leads to some weird behavior. For example, you might see that you knock someone out, but in fact he might have survived damage, because it was a draw on his screen. Or vice versa – your opponent might see like he’s dealing damage to you, but you don’t take it, because you won on your own screen. As you can imagine, it often leads to some strange outcomes. A few popular streamers have been experiencing it, so did multiple players who reported it on social media and official forums.

Bug fix is being worked on – we’ll update you when the hotfix is out!

Hey there, just jumping in to confirm we are aware of this issue and currently working on a hotfix. (Source)

We also seem to have some smaller bugs, like sound errors or Putridice being a part of the Hero pool (even though he’s not supposed to), but they’re very minor compared to the one described above.

I hadnt noticed it, but yeah, it would be quite frustrating to win a round and then see that the game considers the other player the winner… I gotta say tho, that i really like how the game fells after the patch, it feels like it runs much faster (part of it its the poison thing, but i think the minions also attack faster now but im not sure).
Also, i got to play with Tyrion and i think he’s not very strong.. i managed to finish 3rd, but i didnt take too much advantadge of his HP. i used a Demon Strategy and i only used his HP to buff a Soul Juggler (which was nice) and a Crowd Favorite, but making a dedicated non tribe army seems complicated. Maybe you can do it by staying in tier 3 and buffing Selfless Heroes, Spawns of Nzoth, Righteous Protectors, Crowd Champions and Tortollan Shellraisers with an occasional Boogey Monster if you get lucky with a triple.. But doing something like that seems difficult due to the very reduced pool of Non-tribe minions.

Your ideal comp for Tyrion is divine shield: early-game Righteous Protectors, Spawns, and Selfless Heroes (all Tier 2) followed by rushing to Bolvar, Boogeymonster, Festeroot, Baron, and Zapp. Alternatively you can try a taunt comp using Phalanx, Defender of Argus, and Strongshell, but I think that’s more of a longshot.

Crowd Champ is a bit of a bait: most battlecries are tribal buffs, so you probably aren’t really getting good synergy beyond the original 4/4 body and the +1/+1 each turn. Giving (almost) every minion +1/+1 every turn is good, but you still need some power spike to match your opponents’. You’re right that it’s difficult–technically you have a better chance of hitting triples since your lobby should be mostly avoiding your picks, but you also don’t have the same potential for game-breaking combos as all the tribals do.

A never ending bug. Just like the tales I’ve heard on Hearthstone.
