Amaz Forms New Team: Archon

We didn’t have to wait long to find out what Amaz had in store for himself after leaving Team Liquid.

This is Amaz and I am proud to announce that I will be leading my very own Hearthstone team: Archon!

Our main focus as a team is twofold:

  • Producing great content for viewers through consistent streaming
  • Competing in international tournaments against the best players.

Our roster currently consists of 3 great players, all of whom are excited to be a part of this fresh venture.

We have James “Firebat” Kostesich, who has been performing very well in the competitive scene recently. With his vast knowledge of the game Firebat has earned himself a spot in the Blizzcon World Championships.

Also in the lineup, is Raphael “Hosty” Tsantili who is currently ranked number one in the ESL Hearthstone Cup and certainly not a stranger to the tournament scene.

Finally there is myself, Jason “Amaz” Chan. I’ve achieved first place in IEM Shenzhen, Numericable M-House Cup, and the Liquid VGVN #1 Tournament and won over $20,000 USD in tournaments.

Amaz has made a big pickup in Firebat who could make a big name for himself if he’s able to bring home the BlizzCon World Championship. There also seems to be plans to host a tournament and pick up a fourth member for the team.

I believe a strong and cohesive Hearthstone team consists of three to five active players and I would love the opportunity to pick up another awesome player. If you think you have what it takes to be a member of Archon, please let me know and we can discuss further.

We are also seeking sponsors to support our passion for Hearthstone. If you share our vision and ambitions, then please contact us. We would be thrilled to represent your organization through our consistency both in streaming and tournament showings.

What is in the works? We are currently working on the official Archon website, where beginners and veterans of Hearthstone can find the most up-to-date Hearthstone information out there. We are also planning an online tournament to celebrate the founding of Archon, so stay tuned as we will be inviting the top players from all over the world to compete for a minimum of a US$3,000 prize pool along with an open qualifier bracket as well!
