This card has great potential. In an aggro match up you can cast it in early game, and have a nive taunt to keep you alive, maybe aven force an undesired summon to boast your board cleaning. In a controll match up you can risk it to force out a winning condition out of time. A maligos, a ktun, n’zoth, yogg, if you manage to get one of those whne you are ready and your opponent is not you can win the game. But you can also get a ragnaros on turn 2 and lose like a %&$/£8 😀

Probably the best designed card of the expansion as playing it involves critical thinking and risk taking. This card will definitely shine in control vs. control match ups. This should not be played on turn 2. Wait until the late game with removal in hand to play it. Hopefully if will hit a high priority target like C’thun, Ysera or Gadgetzan autioneer. The opponent will not get to play and receive value from any of these. The ultimate combo deck counter. I can’t wait that play this against Malygos druid.

I can see a few situations and matchups where this is valuable, but if you’re playing into a tempo deck where they have minions with large bodies coming out, I can see this card just being a dead draw a lot of the time. Sure, you could disrupt their gameplan by snagging a ragnaros or an Old God early, but you could also find yourself pulling out a solid 6/5 or a Deathwing. Also with all of the hand-buffing minion effects in the early game now, even a priest might find themselves pulling a dreaded 4 attack minion. Could still see it being effective though.

This Card is SO great, will see a lot in Priest decks, works great with SWD. You can bait Ragnaros, Cthun, Nzoth, whatever and kill them instant without trigger the battlecry effect.

Its also perfect for the Curve, +3 HP next Turn with the new 3 Mana Priest Card and with Shadow Word Shield Turn 3 vs aggro.

    Love it

it’s so good for priest it’s like deathlord, you can win control matchup with it when your drop Justicar or Elise for the oppenent warrior, and it’s so good turn 2 against aggro, 2/6 drop enemy 3/2 and you can still buff it next turn with the new card 3/4 buff 3 health, you can heal buff it and dmg his bord and turn 5 aoe and have a clean bord and high health, it’s so good for the future of the priest, can be played in taunt warrior too you can play it one turn before brawl to buff the brawl if the oppenent is playing around it by always playing only 2 minion, i think it’s a very good card for control.

Very hyped. Amazing idea, a good card but not Op that requiers skills, O wont comment why I love ot cause I just agree with the others guys told. Blizzard is now way more creative than when GvG. I cant waitn to expansión. I love this kind of tech cards very good to counter a cocnret think bit that are nor autoinclcude in any meta. A question to All of you. Will some combo deck, such maly druid, the rotation out of empreror? I am doubting to Craft mally cause thar fear of he will be usless on a non emperot world

Malygos rotates in terms of relevance. Sometimes it’s good, sometimes it’s bad but it has always seen play in intervals.

It says summon, not play. So the opponent will most likely keep it’s minion in the hand.

    • Frederick Willem
      November 10, 2016 at 8:51 am

No, he/she won’t, as Patches the Pirate’s text also says summon while it plays the minion and does not create a copy of it. The only difference this makes is with certain cards that work toghether with the ‘Whenever a minion is PLAYED’- or ‘Whenever a minion is SUMMONED’-mechanic.

      • nightfall
        November 10, 2016 at 9:56 am

when a minion is PLAYED, it’s played from hand by the player owning the card, if a card is SUMMONED, it’s forcefully taken from a players’ hand or deck. (there’s a difference between summoned cards and summoned minions, in this particular case it’s summoned cards)

      November 10, 2016 at 11:52 am

I really hope it is as you say. If it is not this is one of the strongest card ever created and it would add the discard from your opponent hand mechanic that shuld not exsist at all… It would definetly kill combo decks.

    November 9, 2016 at 10:53 pm

it says summon, so opponent’s card is still remain in his hand? is it true? it didnt say put
if my opponent dont lose his card for a better situation to play, so it is a free gift for him, aggro or control doesnt matter,

    • TacoRocco
      November 10, 2016 at 9:50 am

It takes the minion out pf your opponent’s hand. If it summoned a copy, it would say “summon a copy”.

I’m happy to see we’re getting closer to a discard card, it’s just a really bad discard.

This card won’t be seeing much play unfortunately. The combos discussed here all seem like a pain in the ass.

      November 9, 2016 at 10:51 pm

Now that I think about it, this is more a low-cost cleanup card for the early game. Kind of like Zombie Chow. Really bad late game too.

We really need a card to see opponent’s hand a discard one card. Similar to other TCG games.

I like that we’re getting closer to a card that forces discard, it’s just a really bad discard.

Seeing all this talk about combos, seems like too much of a pain in the ass.

Could be interesting against card hoarding warrior or priest (definitely NOT rogue), who often play only 1 minion a turn, and you can force them to play a minion without battlecry (which they generally are) and force removal ample resources. Other than for that, I doubt it’ll see much play.

Dirty Rat + Entomb. make priest great again

Has 2 drop, this guy is risky… but is worth since most of the decks dont save big minions early game (unless control decks)

HOWEVER, late game, this card has A LOT of potential if you have ANY kind of removal in your hand (especially Sheep/Hex): Play it, your Maligos/Actioneer/Rag/Blademaster comes to play, drop your removal on them and ruin your opponent life.

Nothing show up, well, thats just WAY to much info. Reeno Show ups, you just kill your opponent game. A really instresting card and i really want to see how much play it will see

This card is great, it really helps control against aggro because the creature they will be getting will just be some little dude more than likely. I want some of these pronto.

good card for some archetypes with tone of removals
warrior will use it probably rouge too maby even milll rouge?
and i see patter ANOTHER couter agaist agro we wont see no agro dekcs out there ?

This card could potentially be very good in control decks such as control warrior. In control vs. control, a lot of the game is about timing when to play your minions (to save them from being killed). The biggest value I see with this card is the Brawl value. You can play it then throw down a brawl to take out an extra enemy minion and also give your board a greater chance of winning the brawl. Also you can play it then play Enter the Coliseum and also kill an extra minion, and a 2/6 taunt is enough to survive dying to the surviving minion. I think this card definitely has a lot of potential, but we will have to see.

It could be good In a zoolock, think about it,if u are lucky, your opponent get those like trash card, and u get a 2/6 on turn 2,that will be like, unkillable

I love how this set has so many tech cards in it. This will be a great ad to any control deck having trouble against Combo Decks.
    Thaurrisan
    Malygos
    C’thun
    N’zoth
    Brann / Coldlight
Even against Aggro this card will be half decent against aggro for priest in the same vain as Deathlord. While it may have lower stats than deathlord, this card can be used to thin your opponents HAND and get more value out of your Brawls, Hellfires, Consecrations, and Dragonfire Potions.

    Sucks against midrange though…
(Good lord imagine if your hit Soggoth the slitherer that has been buffed up by stolen goods, that would be bad.)

Cards like this are what make me excited for this next set, tech cards everywhere. This card will be used against combo decks, by control decks.
    Malygos
    Thaurissan
    Golden Monkey
    N’zoth
    C’thun
Brann Bronzebeard / Cold Light Oracle
So long as you have control ready in hand, or another minion on the board ready, this can be a great card.
Shutting out OTK used to be done by having way more than 30 HP. Now priest has a way to deal with combo decks.
This card isn’t great against aggro but priest can make use of it in the same vain as Deathlord.

    Sucks against mid rang though….

      November 10, 2016 at 2:00 am

I think it actually works fine agaimst aggro because its a big taunt. Works fine against control as well, but you’re right midrange counters this.

Do you think it will not trigger the battle cry? This card may be used to counter justicar/yogg/Reno?

A 2 mana 2/6 spawn enemy ragnaros value

    • Chef
      November 10, 2016 at 3:09 am

Yeah, Enemy Ragnaros spawn, you kill hin Instant with your Board or removal -> Value

    • nightfall
      November 10, 2016 at 10:02 am

this is indeed value because you can use this card to summon an enemy minion and in most cases after seeing the enemy minion you can respond instantly. when a ragnaros comes on the board when played by the enemy you’re gonna take 8 damage (or a minion takes 8 damage), when YOU summon it (with this minion) however, it gives you the opportunity to react to it bevore it does anything

why would I want my opponent a minion to play ? dust to dust

    • Chef
      November 10, 2016 at 3:07 am

      Absolutely wrong

Battlecry Effects wont Trigger! Thats huge value, Play Rat -> Opponents 20/20 C’thun, Nzoth, Yogg, or also Ragnaros -> Shadow Word Death.

You can use it to bait Key Cards with Battlecry or Even just normal Legendarys to remove them Instant
