I did label this aggro, but Zoo leans more towards Aggro/Control and in this case Midrange. Dr. Boom is perfectly viable in the deck.

Zoo is about making favorable trades with your minions and getting consistent damage on to your opponent. You’ll usually be able to finish them off with Doomguard, a board of minions, or some kind of power overwhelming shenanigans.

Combo is 2 Savage Roar, 2 Force of Nature, and hybrid is 1 or 2 Savage Roar and 1 Force of Nature. You’re right they’re very similar, but that’s generally the distinction.

Not having Mad Scientist doesn’t help. This deck is pretty much designed to finish the opponent quickly, or do enough damage early on so you can hero power and top deck a victory. The deck will tend to gas out in the mid-game/late game which is one of its weaknesses. Argent Squire is an OK replacement for Haunted Creeper, but it’s not a Beast so it’s even worse in this case. Mad Scientist has no replacement, that card is very strong and serves the distinct purpose of getting Explosive Trap on your side for free. It would be tough at this point to play competitively without Naxxramas, but you might wait on Blackrock Mountain to see if the meta changes.

Haunted Creeper and Mad Scientist are from the Curse of Naxxramas Adventure Mode. You would have to unlock the correct wings to unlock each of those cards (with in-game gold or real money). You should already own Wolfrider as it is a Basic card that comes with your account.

Argent Squire might work for you. It’s a resilient minion which is the purpose of Haunted Creeper.

Sludge Belcher is a pretty strong counter to Zoo. The key to Zoo is making efficient trades and getting the best value out of your minions. You want to use your buffs from Dire Wolf Alpha and Abusive Sergeant to take out bigger creatures with your low cost or token minions. You also want to keep being able to tap into more minions, and eventually finish your opponent off with a strong board or a Doomguard.

There’s no replacement, that card is one of the best in the deck.

Zoo is actually more about controlling the board than doing face damage. Leeroy doesn’t trade well, he has a tendency to sit in your hand where another card would be played. He’s a good finisher, but you already have a good finisher/trader with Doomguard. You can skew Zoo to be more aggro based, but that would change up the deck quite a bit.
