Tavern Brawl - Half & Half
Pirate Warrior is also good for this same plan since cheap creatures with free weapons is a thing.
BEWARE of Protoss Druid.

You’re on the right track, and I’m jealous of Stonewright.
The key is to play cards that pump totems without giving your opponent any totems to pump.
I’d toss Anchored Totem, Carving Chisel, and Needlerock Totem.
Everything else in there is either a dead card to your opponent or close enough to being one.
Tavern Brawl - Half & Half
We both missed one…
Demon Hunter “hero attacks” triggers.

Totem Shaman can get just as pricy, but here’s a budget build.

Discover Hunter seems to be a popular choice among players with only Standard cards to work with.
Tavern Brawl - Half & Half
I would run Level Up instead of Crystal Lion here if I had the dust for them.
But, proof of concept for the Silver Hand pump plan, Shamman works similarly.
Except for the mirror (obviously), the game plan is to play your opponent’s contribution to the deck in the early game.
When they start playing your cards, that’s the signal that they’ve got a dead hand.
If they’re too stubborn to concede, start making Silver Hands.

Without looking at my collection for other plans that might have entered in the past couple years…
I think 1 & 2 are evergreen for this.
IIRC 3 proved to be a nonbo when I tried it.
Tavern Brawl - Half & Half
Sadly, now that opponents get a corpse count when DK cards are in hand, this game plan is off the table.
Tavern Brawl - Miniature Warfare
Pretty much any Protoss deck will do.
Toss the appropriate cards in, add anything that copies or returns to hand, and fill the rest with Legendaries.
I’ve also seen people running their Standard Zerg DK decks, which work well if you catch a good hand.
I’m not sure how well this works in the long run.
NOTE: Before anyone calls me on it… Yes, C’thun’s inclusion above was a brain fart.
Tavern Brawl - Miniature Warfare
More of a proof of concept, but spamming Mothership seems pretty good.

Tavern Brawl - Miniature Warfare
I haven’t built for this year yet, but I ran Sathrovarr too; it’s a solid card here, especially when the card you want to spam is also in hand. Coin into triple Ragnaros on turn 2 is just gross.
Fingers crossed the Lor’themar “bug” was by design and is still in play this year.
Other than Marin, and maybe some Tourists to tap into off-class removal options, I’m not sure yet what might have changed.

I meant to close that with a HUGE thank you!
I’ve been having trouble deciding which way to go, and this helps a lot.

Location Warlock is missing a Zillax code, so I couldn’t load it up to check the configuration. (Pylon& ticking I assume?)
Also, suggestions for ETC?
Terran Aggro Paladin is also missing a Zilax code.
Tavern Brawl - The Great Amalgamation!
This served me well until I hit opponents saying screw the meta, and just running their regular Automaton deck. That’s what sparked the idea for the Copy Preist deck above.

I may have broken the meta here…

Tavern Brawl - The Great Amalgamation!
Something I’m noticing when experimenting with decks this time around…
Not all available cards are programmed to see the “All” minion type applied by the Tavern Brawl rules, but rather the types the card naturally has.
It’s a little hit-or-miss, which cards do/don’t see the “All” so you’ll want to experiment yourself.
This is not a complete list, just a few I’ve bumped into so far:
Azerite Giant only sees the minion type the card normally has.
Party Animal does not apply its buff to cards that normally don’t have a type.
Captain’s Parrot DOES draw cards that are not normally pirates, as expected in this Tavern Brawl.
In a similar vein, increasing hero power damage works great for Mage.
