Gerrard makes an interesting play by face tanking a Huffer which ends up dealing 8 damage to him. Turn 4 finds him low quickly, but he gets out a Chillwind Yeti. Leper Gnome out for Artosis, but a Acolyte of Pain into Whirlwind comes out for Gerrard. He’s down to 12 at the end of Artosis’s 6th turn. Gerrard gets a three draw Battle Rage and equips a Fiery War Axe and attacks Artosis down to 14. Artosis casts a Misdirect and unfortunately for Gerrard he makes the wrong read and trades his Acolyte for an Ironbeak Owl. He triggers the Misdirect and eats 4 damage from the Chillwind Yeti and that puts him into lethal range for Artosis. Leeroy Jenkins into Hero Power finishes off the Control Warrior.

Result: Artosis Wins (2 – 0)

Game 3

Artosis – Face Hunter vs. Gerrard – Hybrid Midrange Hunter

Artosis is down early, but is able to clear the board with an Unleash the Hounds into Explosive Trap. A bit of a misplay by Gerrard by not playing his Eaglehorn Bow before he popped Artosis’s trap. A double Abusive Sergeant on Wolfrider evens out the health, but Leeroy Jenkins, Hero Power, and Eaglehorn Bow finish off Artosis.

Result: Gerrard Wins (1 – 2)

Game 4

Artosis –  HandLock vs. Gerrard – Hybrid Midrange Hunter

Artosis seems to think he’s playing against Face Hunter, but the Chillwind Yeti comes out and he becomes visibly confused. Artosis is quickly to 14, but he gets a Mountain Giant on the board that trades with the Yeti. Gerrard flips the three-sided coin of Animal Companion and gets the Huffer. Artosis is down to 11, but he’s able to cast two Molten Giant and taunts them up with Sunfury Protector. Gerrard is able to take down two giants to 2 health and casts the Explosive Trap, but Artosis draws into Defender of Argus which saves one and finishes off Gerrard!

Result:  Artosis Wins (3 – 1)

Game 5

Artosis – HandLock vs. Gerrard – HandLock

Gerrard decides to bring back his Warlock to take on Artosis’s Warlock. Gerrard’s version has a lot of cards that can take out minions so he should have an advantage against Artosis. Three Life Taps start us off, and Artosis leads us off with a Twilight Drake that’s immediately answered by Gerrard with a Twilight Drake of his own. Artosis gets a Mountain Giant on the board, but Gerrard’s Twilight Drake attacks into it and he Shadowflames it to clear out the Giant, but leaves the Drake on Artosis’s side. Gerrard gets a Mountain Giant out and he silences one of Artosis’s Twilight Drake with Ironbeak Owl. Gerrard’s Giant eats a Siphon Soul, and Artosis continues to control the board with his Twilight Drake army. Hellfire takes out the Drakes and Gerrard gets a Molten Giant on the board. Artosis pushes for damage, but Gerrard is able to heal himself just out of lethal range. Ragnaros the Firelord comes out for Gerrard and he taunts up it and his Molten Giant. Ragnaros hits a Sunfury Protector, which is trouble for Gerrard because Artosis has double Hellfire into Soulfire which takes out Rag and he finishes him off with a Mountain Giant.

Result:  Artosis Wins (4 – 1)
