The finals of OGN’s Hearthstone Invitational pits Dogehouse member Artosis against former Dogehouse teamate and current Curse Gaming member Savjz! Both players were able to alter their decks before the match so you’ll find different decks here compared to their semi-final decks. Keep in mind these decks are altered based on their knowledge of the opponent, so some modifications might not be ideal for laddering.

Game 1
Artosis – Aggro Warrior vs. Savjz – Ramp Druid
Artosis starts attacking early, but a Wild Growth and the Coin brings out a Druid of the Claw in taunt form. Artosis is able to deal with it with a Fiery War Axe, but Savjz has the answer for that with Harrison Jones. Harrison gets mopped up, but a Chillwind Yeti comes out for Savjz. Artosis throws down an Argent Commander and goes all in for face and gets Savjz down to 12. Sunwalker out for Savjz, and Artosis draws a great answer with an Arcanite Reaper. Another taunt out for Savjz and he’s able to clear the board and stabilizes at 8. The rarely used Nightblade comes out for Artosis and gets Savjz down to 5 health. Savjz copies his Mark of the Wild buffed Keeper of the Grove with Faceless Manipulator and clears the board. Another Nightblade comes out and puts Savjz to 2 health. Savjz drops the Cenarius and buffs his two minions and drops Artosis down to 13. Artosis is unable to get the 2 damage he needs and concedes!

Game 2
Artosis – Nether HandLock vs. Savjz – Ramp Druid
Not much action early, turn four yields a Chillwind Yeti from Savjz. Artosis gets an Ancient Watcher on the board and silences it to start putting pressure on Savjz. Watcher eats a Wrath and Chillwind Yeti finishes it off. A timely Mountain Giant is drawn from Artosis which hits the board immediately. Savjz draws a Big Game Hunter off the top of his deck and that really takes the momentum from Artosis. Hellfire clears the board, but leaves him with no other play. Cairne Bloodhoof and a Sen’Jin Shieldmasta out for Savjz. Cairne draws a Siphon Soul which brings Artosis up to 20. Savjz takes him down to 15 with Alexstrasza and follows it up with board damage which brings him to 8. TWISTING NETHER WIPES THE BOARD FOR ARTOSIS! Two Molten Giant out for Artosis and he could be back in this game. Savjz gambles on a 33.3% Ragnaros the Firelord finish AND IT HITS ARTOSIS IN THE FACE! WHAT A GAME!

Artosis – Face Hunter vs. Savjz – Ramp Druid
Artosis is getting out-valued early losing a River Crocolisk to Wrath and a Leokk to a charged Druid of the Claw. Savjz takes out another River Croc with ANOTHER charged Druid of the Claw. Artosis is able to Starving Buzzard, Unleash the Hounds, into a Timber Wolf to clear the board. Artosis gets a Misha from Animal Companion, but Savjz draws into a Swipe that clears the board. Artosis is going to push for damage and gets Savjz down to 15 health. Artosis goes for it all and gets Savjz down to 1 with Eaglehorn Bow, Hero Power, and Leeroy Jenkins! Savjz uses Healing Touch and Artosis hangs his head and doesn’t draw into lethal. Savjz finishes Artosis off with a Ragnaros.

Game 4
Artosis – Aggro Warrior vs. Savjz – Ramp Druid
Artosis decides to pick his Aggro Warrior to rollback in this Best of 7. He starts off with two Leper Gnome and a Faerie Dragon, but he eats a Swipe to the face as Savjz ramps his way into a board clear by finishing off a Faerie Dragon with an Innervate into Hero Power. Savjz jumps out an Ancient of Lore with his second Innervate. Artosis is in trouble and slams Savjz with an Arcanite Reaper. Unfortunately, another Ancient of Lore comes out for Savjz which heals him back up to 20. Savjz has two Ancient of Lore on the board and he taunts one up with Mark of the Wild, which takes Artosis down to 6. Artosis sees that he can’t get passed the taunt and finishes himself off by attacking the Ancient of Lore! Savjz dominates this game and takes it in a sweep, 4 – 0!
