New Expansion Teased – Announcement Coming Tomorrow (July 14)

Just like we expected – the new expansion will be officially revealed tomorrow, alongside the balance update announced last week.

Hearthstone team has just teased it on Twitter with a short video:

“Magic within” might mean that the expansion will be related to, well, magic. Void, Night Elves (Darnassus) and Kirin Tor / Dalaran were some of the previous guesses – Tharid thought about Void Elves in particular in his article from a few months ago. Kirin Tor / Dalaran would be a good guess, but we just had Rise of Shadows last year, which took place in Dalaran. Darnassus would be a cool guess, since the city is magic-heavy and it would make for an interesting setting.

And then there’s a video – it seems that Magic is kept somewhere and it’s trying to get out. We’re curious what the video is hinting at, if you have any ideas leave them in the comments!

P.S. As a reminder, here’s the Year of the Phoenix teaser we’ve got back in March:

Hey guys, the italian expansion logo got leaked (maybe through the official italian Blizzard department)
Therefore the expansions name would be “Academy of Scholomance”, more info can be found nearly all around reddit and outofcards.

Well with the year of the phoenix releasing DH’s and the two night elf character stories Roots of Teldrasill hits home for Illidan and Starseeker, could also link to war of the ancients when there was just one kind of elf.
