Machinima’s Deck Wars Season 1: #12 took place today with #1 EU Legend Lifecoach taking on #14 EU Legend Forsen.
Deck Wars is a Best of 5 tournament. The winner receives a $100 and is entered into a bigger upcoming tournament in May 17th.

Game 1: Forsen – Warlock Zoo vs. Lifecoach – Warrior Reign (Control Warrior)
Zoo jumps out early with two Argent Squire and a Knife Juggler. The Warrior draws a Brawl and clears most of the board just leaving an Argent Squire. Zoo continues to put creatures on the board, but they are being answered immediately. The Warlock is sitting on 2 Power Overwhelming, 2 Soulfire, and a Leeroy Jenkins in his hand. The Warrior unknowingly armors his way out of lethal range. WOW! The next turn Warrior puts himself into lethal range, and with a fortunate discard on the Warlock’s side he’s able to do 22 damage and finish Lifecoach off!
Result: Forsen Wins (1 – 0)
Game 2: Forsen – Warlock Zoo vs. Lifecoach – Fox Justice (Midrange Paladin)
Zoo gets a great hand out of the gate, but two Consecration later and the board is clear. Unfortunately, Lifecoach is at 14 health on turn 5 and the minions keep coming for Forsen. The Paladin is just getting overwhelmed by Zoo, and this particular Paladin deck doesn’t have much in the way of heals. Forsen finishes him off with a Leeroy Jenkins into Power Overwhelming.
Result: Forsen Wins (2 – 0)
Game 3: Forsen – Warlock Zoo vs. Lifecoach – Sunshine Hunter (Midrange Hunter)
Three minions out quickly for Zoo, and the Hunter is forced to play a quick Explosive Trap. Power Overwhelming comes out on turn three from Zoo to avoid a quick board clear from Explosive Trap. Lifecoach is being overwhelmed again, and Midrange Hunter might be too slow to beat Zoo. It turns out to be so, Frosen destroys Lifecoach 3 – 0!
