Game 1

ManaGrind – Miracle Rogue vs. Clarity Gaming – Freeze Mage

A lot of early passing of turns back and forth between the two teams. A Doomsayer comes out on turn 4 to prevent much action from the Rogue. Clarity Gaming plays a Tinkmaster Overspark, and unfortunately for them it misses the concealed Gadgetzan Auctioneer and hits their Acolyte of Pain. This turn alone might have cost the Mage the game as the Rogue draws a ton of cards the next turn. The Mage has no direct answer to take out the Auctioneer and ends up just casting Mirror Image, Ice Barrier, and an Ice Lance on the Auctioneer. Blizzard freezes the Rogue’s board, and the Miracle Rogue is just short of lethal with two Shadowstep and Leeroy Jenkins in hand. They decide to go with Leeroy anyway, and use a Blade Flurry to clear the four Whelps. Clarity Gaming doesn’t draw the Ice Block and commits Sudoku.

Game 2

ManaGrind – Miracle Rogue vs. Clarity Gaming – Control Warrior

Clarity Gaming seems to have a lot of love for Tinkmaster Overspark as not only do they have it in their deck, but they decide to keep it in their opening hand. ManaGrind decides to Cold Blood their Acolyte of Pain and starts pushing for damage, but it quickly gets dispatched with a Shield Block into Shield Slam. Miracle Rogue hasn’t drawn its Gadgetzan Auctioneer which limits what they can do, but the Warrior isn’t able to mount much offense. Clarity decides to throw out a quick Grommash Hellscream after seeing the Rogue have limited options. Gromm gets a Sap, and the Rogue can’t do much else. The Rogue keeps digging, but they still can’t come up with the Gadgetzan Auctioneer. Gromm back out on the board and the Rogue can’t deal with him this time. Grommash gets enraged and that finishes off the Rogue.

Game 3

ManaGrind – Aggro Zoo vs. Clarity Gaming – Control Warrior

Lots of Minions out for Zoo and the Warrior is forced to Brawl on turn 5. The Warrior starts to take control by getting value off a Whirlwind and later a Baron Geddon. Control Warrior is just too strong, and keeps clearing the board. A Soulfire takes out Baron Geddon, but it discards Leeroy Jenkins which was their last hope. Clarity Gaming BMs its way to a victory.

Results: Clarity Gaming Wins (2 – 1)

Game 4

ManaGrind – Midrange Shaman vs. Clarity Gaming – Control Warrior

Two Armorsmith out for the Warrior, and out comes a Fiery War Axe to take out an Unbound Elemental. Another Unbound comes out, but it’s quickly taken out by Shield Slam. One Frothing Berserker is out and buffed, and another follows him out to the board. A Flametongue Totem comes out and helps a Defender of Argus take out one of the Berserkers. Overload prevents the Shaman from dealing with the second Berserker in an efficient manner, and they’re forced to use a Rockbiter Weapon on their Flametongue Totem to remove it. The Warrior is up to 40 health with 12 armor, and drops a 12 damage Shield Slam on an Azure Drake. Brawl clears out some totems and a Fire Elemental, and while the Warrior has nothing particularly strong on the board, they seem to be in control of this game. The Shaman gets the board clear and drops a Ragnaros the Firelord on the board, which is quickly copied by the Warrior and eliminated with a Whirlwind into Execute. Ragnaros the Merciful takes out ManaGrind’s Shaman preventing a sweep and costing ManaGrind some cash.
