This deck is teched against Pirate Warrior, but you also have a decent matchup against other Kaz/Reno decks that are more control oriented. Just take the match as slowly as possible and play for fatigue. You’ll need to save Bran for a double Kaz or double Kabal Courier, but your main combo is dropping Reno after Iceblock is triggered and then using Manic Soulcaster to put another Reno into you deck. This isn’t something that Kaz/Reno Priest or Warlock can do, and it’s probably the only way you’re going to win.

Jade decks are the hardest matchup here. You’ll have to save as many damage spells as you can before using Alexstrasza to have a chance of killing the opponent because fatigue is not an option.

I dropped Mistress of Mixtures for Mana Wyrm, Doomsayer wasn’t working out most of the time so replaced him with Jeweled Scarab. I dropped Refreshment Vendor for Red Mana Wyrm and Thaurissan for Etherial Conjurer. I didn’t think the extra health was helping enough and was making it harder to beat down my opponent. Between Reno, Alex and Ice Block, I am surviving pretty well. Thaurissan usually only gets a single proc and I didn’t think this was helping enough. Ethereal Conjurer gives me a discovery spell and a 6/3 beater, just as likely to take the enemy hate as Thaurissan. I’m having a lot of fun with this deck. So far the hardest match up is priest. It almost always goes to fatigue against them. Jade Druid is also a pain in the arse.

Dude, the kazakus+brann+maniac combo in the late game is amazing! LOL

What can i replace Manic soulcaster with?

      Perhaps youthful brewmaster?
Instead of putting the card in your deck it puts it in your hand. Nice combo options with Kazakus or even Reno.
The stats of the minion are worse for sure (3/2) instead of (3/4) but with 2 mana the brewmaster is 1 mana cheaper.
The effect is not exactly the same, but it is similar, and the battlecry is what makes Manic Soulcaster a reason to put in this deck.
So all in all, mana wise and battlecry wise I think Youthful Brewmaster comes closest to copy with Manic Soulcaster intended to do in this deck.
      I hope this helps.

Reno is good, but kazakus should get top billing. It’s insaneeeeee.

I loved this deck and build a similar version of it. Unfortunately, your WR versus Priest is horrendous. Hence i dropped it, as for now everyone and their mom is playing Dragon Priest.

Best replacement for Alex? I was thinking either inkmaster or Rag.

I basically did an equivalent, but with the Inclusion of Inkmaster+Pyroblast and it’s more of a freeze/control reno combo mage haha

It’s looking like that card might be a bit weak. If you don’t get a 10-mana Kazakus spell off of it, it dosn’t seem that impactful.

The deck was tech’d pretty hard to beat aggro, because day two meta is all warrior. A 7-drop doesn’t do much for that.
