Looking at this deck it’s pretty crazy to think that it works, but 11point5ft has been doing pretty well on the legendary ladder. The deck combines low cost board aoe with strong minions and dragon synergy. Jeweled Scarab is a card some people have been experimenting with, and it seems to work with Shaman because of the strong 3-drops it has: Healing Wave, Hex, and Lightning Storm. We also found out recently that discover is 4x more likely to discover a class card, which makes it far more likely to see one of these strong cards.

I highly recommend watching him play the deck before making any judgement on it! Check out a VOD here.

Nefarian, it should probably be a high cost Dragon.

I don’t get how you use Doomsayer effectively. Do i let him behind a taunt minion or use as bait?

This deck is very slow and very easy for hunter / lock / paladin to get big early board advantages. Scarabs/totems are all you have until at least turn 4. Just play Doomsayer defensively (duh) if they manage to pile up 3+ mobs in the early game and then again if you have shitty luck on your Scarab draws.

I think the fact that Doomsayer is the only other 1 or 2 mana minion drop (besides Scarab) is proof of the strength of Shaman 3-mana card pool.

I’ve been testing Scarab with my Tempo Mage for the same reason – tech. A third copy of almost any secret can be a game changer (throw a second or third Counterspell at a secret pally or mid-range hunter, for instance) . The only Mage 3-drop that makes me groan is Vaporize and I’ve only even seen it once.

Currently only a 55% deck so far for me but I’ve also included Forgotten Torch to add some punch to mid range without sacrificing 1-2 drop spells too early game. Once I get it closer to a 60-65% deck I’ll post it but it doesn’t feel far off right now.

The goal is to throw it out on turn two. If you are lucky you get to play volcanic drake on turn three. It’s a tempo play that leads you in to your mid game, it’s primarily tech for hunter and zoo.

It synergizes with the volcanic drakes by suprising your opponent the next turn if you clear a board that doesnt nessecarily have you at a disadvantage. It doesnt bring you back from a deadly board like freeze mage so you should play it on a board that cant easily kill it for volcanic drake value.

Would Rag be a good replacement for Neptulon? I haven’t played much Neptulon but he seems kinda mediocre to me. I don’t have him and I’d like to try and put the deck together.
Would there be a replacement better than Rag?

Neptulon is good for card advantage in the late game. Ragnaros is an okay replacement, but Nefarian serves that purpose better. Nefarian is more mana, so it’s not as good as Neptulon.

Just because I want to be a little more constructive than the comments ahead of me jeweled scarab is probably without a doubt the best in shaman over any other class there three drops are pretty phenomenal with things such as hex lightning storm Healing Wave lavaburst feral spirits

Nice deck, sometimes loses to crazy stuff, but what deck doesn’t? Ranking up with it now, is pretty fun. I don’t feel like Jeweled Scarab really makes too big of a difference. It sometimes pays off, but overall Scarab seems just okay to me. Deck is good.
