With every set that is revealed there comes a lot of questions on the how and why certain cards function like they do. Journey to Un’Goro is no different, this is especially the case with new concepts like the Quest cards and the new mechanic Adapt. I’ll be listing confirmed clarifications on how certain cards work below that will hopefully clear some of those things up.
This post will be updated until the expansion is released, so be sure to check back frequently!
General Expansion Clarifications
- There will be two Legendary cards for each class, one being a Quest card.
- There will be five Legendary Neutral cards.
One of the big features of the new expansion will be the Quest cards.
- Each class gets one Legendary Quest card.
- Quest cards show up in your opening hand and you can choose to mulligan them away.
- Quest cards CANNOT be found via the Discover mechanic, and can’t be generated via cards like Babbling Book.
- Quests, however, can be duplicated via cards like the new Shadow Visions or Thoughtsteal and can be completed more than once.
- Quests are considered spells.

E. Malone’s Journal just got a whole lot more interesting by revealing two new cards: Primalfin Lookout and Unite the Murlocs. Unite the Murlocs is the Quest Legendary for Shaman and rewards you with Megafin if you complete it!
You can vote for which path they take on the official post.
E. Malone’s Expedition Journals
The ongoing series following Professor Doyle through the Un’Goro Crater continues with episode two! Unfortunately, there’s no new card teaser at the end of the video, however, we’ve gotten a bit more information on the Galvadon card. The Attack and Health stats were not visible in the last episode, so they are slowly revealing the card.
It appears that there was a leak on the Japanese translated version of the video. The card apparently will read: “Battlecry: Adapt 5 times.” H/T: triplekinoko
Early on in Hearthstone, Blizzard used to use a lot of old art that was previously used in the WoW TCG for their cards. These days each set gets a ton of custom and high quality art made specifically for each card. Journey of Un’Goro already has a lot of great art revealed, and we’re just scratching the surface on what may be left to offer. Below you will find as much of the full card art from the Journey to Un’Goro expansion as I can find!
If I missed some art please let me know in the comments and I will add it to the post!
