The Grand Tournament – The Newest Hearthstone Expansion (Card List, Release Date, and Information)

The announcement has been made and Hearthstone’s next expansion is going to be The Grand Tournament! Check below for all the released cards and information.

The Grand Tournament was announced on July 22nd, 2015 at the Folsom Street Foundry in San Francisco, CA and live on Twitch. You can watch the announcement video here. There will be 132 cards and the release has been scheduled for August 2015. The inspiration behind the expansion was from The Argent Tournament World Event in World of Warcraft during the Wrath of the Lich King.

Knights of all shapes and sizes from far and wide come together at the Grand Tournament to complete for fame and glory! Years ago, the Argent Crusade started the tournament as a way to find champions fit to take on Azeroth’s greatest villains. Now that the Frozen North is less perilous (and a tad bit warmer), the Grand Tournament has a playful side to it. Ogres, Pirates, Dragons, and even Murlocs have sent their finest Knights, ready to strut their stuff and show what they’re made of—all in the name of fun! It’s hard to say without seeing the rest of the cards of course but my main concern is that all of these cool new effects (and they are pretty darn interesting) are going to be cards that are stuck in your hand while you are getting beat to crap by aggro. Not that there’s anything wrong with aggro decks and players. Anyone would be crazy to ignore how powerful they are but I really hope there are some more cards that help control and even midrange stay in the game a little better. Also I think Shaman is getting a much deserved buff and hope priest gets the same. Balanced classes would help bring a lot more diversity to the ladder and would make for a much more enjoyable experience. Just my two cents 🙂

This one has to be played at turn 8 and it summons another card, even having more hp it can be killed using more than one card, not like grim patron that has to be killed with one card. There is a card that allow to use hero power several times and one that reduces its cost, so I see this card more like a part of a combo. Dont know what to think about this New cards, it seems that they are focused in be pulled as part of a combo, not sure if this cards Will work against aggro decks, but I May be wrong since I have been playing hs Just for two months
