Blizzard just posted a teaser image for – almost surely – the next Battlegrounds season. Patch 32.2 is coming within the next couple of weeks and that’s always a huge update to the game mode, including the launch of new season.
Here’s the teaser image description (taken from the post’s alt text):

Between the description and the image itself, I would guess that Ardenweald will be the next season’s theme. It’s the realm of Faeries with similar “dark forest” theme to what we see on the teaser.
The teaser means that the actual announcement is coming very soon (usually the day after the teaser). Stay tuned for more information!
