Latest update – Masters Tour Los Angeles’ broadcast was canceled completely. It means that you won’t be able to watch the tournament live, there will be no stream at all. It’s all because the California’s governor has issued a “stay at home” order, asking people to not go out in order to not spread / not get infected with Coronavirus. Since the event was prepared to be streamed from the venue (despite players playing from homes), casters and the crew can’t get there if they need to stay home.
They’re looking for a solution to still showcase the Top 8 matches on Sunday, but no details about it so far. I’m guessing some makeshift solutions like making casters do their job from homes too.

UPDATE: For the overall safety and well-being of our staff and casters, and in alignment with California’s statewide ‘stay at home’ order, we are canceling the broadcast portion of Masters Tour Los Angeles. Matches will still take place online as previously scheduled. It is our intention to find a solution to showcase the Top 8 matches on Sunday and we will share those details as soon as we have more information. That’s such a bummer to hear. I was really looking forward to watching it all weekend. It seems like the California travel ban was enacted recently, so they didn’t have time to plan. I’m hoping for a lil Sottle and Daroch from home stream on Saturday or Sunday. That would make me so happy!
Yeah, they planned to have casters on the venue, and casting from home is something they have to set up. And they obviously didn’t have time, because the “stay at home” announcement only came last evening/night.
I hope they will be able to figure something out, even if just for the Top 8.
That would make for a fun, relaxing Sunday 🙂
