(Live Now) Hotfix For Patch 24.0 Was Released – Arena Micro-adjustments, Returning Players Decks, Guff Banned from Duels Deck Building, Bug Fixes

Update: The patch rollout was paused because of the issues around it (most likely the free deck lists thing), it will get resumed once everything is fixed.

Update #2: All issues were dealt with and the hotfix is finally getting pushed out.

Team 5 is currently rolling out a hotfix. The biggest change is a new round of micro-adjustments in Arena – let’s hope that the domination of Hunter and Mage will get cut short.

Another big thing is decks for returning players. In the past, they were limited to one time per account – even if you met the requirement (not logging in for 120+ days) second time, you didn’t get it. It was changed in Patch 24.0 and it looks like players who met the condition before Patch 24.0 but didn’t claim it until after Patch 24.0 are finally getting their free decks. However, it looks like some people who shouldn’t be eligible for one are getting them too. Yeah. Apparently, Blizzard is already investigating the issue.

In Duels, Wildheart Guff got banned from deck building – you can no longer put him into your starter deck.

We also got a bunch of bug fixes. The biggest one is probably the interaction between Twinbow Terrorcoil and Collateral Damage – it will not deal the correct damage.

It’s a server-side hotfix, so you don’t need to download anything. Full patch notes below:

8/11 Update: The team is currently in the process of rolling out a server-side hotfix with the following updates:

• In Duels, banned Wildheart Guff from Drek’Thar’s deckbuilding.
• In Arena, the appearance rates of many cards across all classes and neutral have been adjusted.
• Fixed a bug that occurred for players who triggered the free new/returning player deck condition before Patch 24.0, but then did not claim the deck until after Patch 24.0.
• Fixed a bug where Collateral Damage would deal the wrong amount of damage if copied (such as by Twinbow Terrorcoil).
• Fixed a bug where playing and attacking with the weapon selected from Suspicious Pirate would result in your opponent being offered a version missing one Durability.
• Fixed a small visual bug with Decimator Olgra’s intro animation.

Wonder if it’s a bug where 0 attack minions don’t have the frozen graphic on them. I’ve never got to buff them to see if it returns when they get a non 0 attack value.
