Deck Import

This is a pretty tough deck to play, but if you get it right it ends up being pretty awesome. You basically play very defensively using your taunts and AOE spells. You can then lock down the board with Shadowform and your various taunts. Remember, you can use your Hero Power, then play Shadowform, then use Hero Power (Mind Spike) again. This also works when you are already in Shadowform, then use Shadowform again which gives you a three damage Hero Power (Mind Shatter!

Second Holy Nova and Shadow Word Death but this deck is probably not very viable.

I have 1700 dust, and am not sure I should use it all on this deck… Is it worth it, and if it is, what are some good vol’jin replacements?

I wouldn’t use your dust on this deck. This deck is fun, but difficult to play and isn’t going to be overly consistent. I’d wait for the new expansion before I crafted anything. Vol’jin can generally be replaced by Sylvanas, Justicar, or Big Game Hunter.

Do you think Alexstrasza could fit well in this deck? I think most of the matches you’ll get to fatigue, so maybe it’s not a bad idea.

This deck is incredibly fun. I’ve made a few changes, such as adding Garrison Commander and replacing a healbot with another Holy Fire to retain the heal but gain a possible removal as well.

You need to have two entomb cards to at least have a chance to deal with murlocodin.

Hey, I’d like to slot in paletress and velen for some crazy burst and rngtastic fun. Any ideas?

Not the same deck. Kibler’s opponent had garrison commander and Harison Jones in the deck.

Well, if you compare what he played with the list…

Out of the list he didn’t play:
            1x Acolyte of Pain
            1x Unstable Ghoul
            1x Senjin Shieldmasta
            1x Zombie Chow
            1x Antique Healbot

Along whole game he played 26 cards so there were 4 left + Excavated Evil

What he played as a difference:
            1x Harrison Jones
            1x Garrison Commander

I bet that one of those 4 cards he didn’t play was Acolyte of Pain. The others – hell knows :S

What if I run 1x Resurrect and 1x Confessor instead of 2x sen’jin??

any reason for sen’jin, I feel that there have to be better 4 drops to use there.

It’s a tech against aggro. When you use shadowform your hero power no longer heals yourself, so it becomes more important to protect yourself from face damage. Priest’s other four drops for control are holy champion, acheunai and refreshment vendor. The first two no longer have synergy with the hero power and senjin is better than refreshment vendor at dealing with zoo.

#1 Can this deck make it to legend?
#2 Either way, what deck would you suggest I use for pushing to legend this season?

    • Evident - Author
      January 6, 2016 at 8:04 am

It would be tough to make it to legend with this deck. Secret Paladin, Midrange Druid, Aggro Shaman, or Renolock are strong choices to get you legend.

I wouldn’t say that it’s a bad deck overall but I think it’s pretty awful for climbing simply because of how slow the win condition is. Lacking any real aggression or burst damage your games will drag out into 10+ grindfests which is definitely not optimal for laddering. I would recommend playing a deck like this if you enjoy the playstyle etc. 🙂

This looks like a really fun deck – I’m tempted to finally craft Shadowform for it. I wonder why he chose KodoRider over Paletress? Paletress too random maybe? Or one less health for one more mana just not worth it?

Vol gin combos with hero power to hard remove any enemy minion while getting a big body on the board though

This deck is sweet. Always been a fan of Shadow Priest decks, and this one is definitely different to the multitude I’ve played in the past. The deck feels VERY finely tuned – it’s super hard to replace anything to try anything else… only change i made is, replacing 1 Antique Healbot with Holy Nova – which i’m pretty sure is strictly better here.

      **Holy Fire i meant…
Also started testing Confessor Paletress. Kodo wins a LOT of games, i’m guessing she can do it better?
