This deck is a midrange shaman featuring some totem stuff and evolve shenanigans. It has some more unusual things in it, however.

First of all you’ll notice we’re running a single Ironbeak owl and single Big Game Hunter despite the nerfs. This is because the effects are still strong, it’s just the mana that’s been increased. And what card likes lots-of-mana-for-a-weak-body? Evolve (and master of evolution, but that’s harder to combo).

We’re also running Darkspeaker to strengthen cards we want to stay on the field like the flametongue totems and brann, and then we can master of evolution the darkspeaker.

We’re also running Nerubian Prophet. If you Mulligan for this card, it becomes a 3 mana 4-4 on turn three, which is a bargain. And if your opponent leaves it alive for a turn… Uh oh! Curve into Master of Evolution for a yeti and a random 7 drop. That’s insane. The same rationale goes for Thing from Below.

The Mistcaller makes an appearance to make the lower-stat cards in this deck a little scarier and add another evolve target.

Arch Thief Rafaam is a big finisher as well. After causing your opponent to waste their clears on your fairly flooded board from earlier, the Mummies give you immense board presence and (you guessed it) an amazing board to evolve, though not on the same turn. Rafaam is also scary because of all the big 10 drops now in the game.

The deck is currently a bit goofy and unrefined, but time will sort this thing out. The Darkspeaker doesn’t have too many targets, there isn’t enough draw, the deck doesn’t feeling zoo-enough, and there isn’t a lot of overload synergy for the single tunnel trogg.
