Introduction

This is a murloc warrior deck for beating The Lich King in adventure mode. It is one of the cheapest way to do it. The others I know are more expensive or take more time also.

It tooks me two tries beating the Lich King with this deck and it was quick and fun. The murlocs are the best way to beat it with many of the classes really. This is a rather budget deck without any legendary and only 4 epics which are really commonly use so probably you already have them. There is not need to craft legendaries.

Strategies & Tips

Replacements

Alley Armorsmith : so you can sustitute this card by other value relatively cheap taunt like Direhorn Hatchling or just put Bonemare in their place. But they don’t give you more armour for the last part fot the game when The Lich King would do direct face damage each turn.

Murloc Replacements : If you don’t have one murloc you can put maybe Bilefin Tidehunter or even Blowgill Sniper but don’t do more than one change. The ones without substitution are Murloc Warleader and Gentle Megasaur.

Coldlight Oracle: excelent to refull your hand Blood Warriors.

    Thanks.
I defeated LK by murlocs with 8 classes except Druid. I winned in turn 11 after 10 attempts.

If someone is still struggeling with warrior: Built myself a cheap deck that works well, even if u still need a bit of luck:
2 of each: Glacial Shard, Commanding Shout, Rampage, Warpath, Coldlight oracle, Frothing Berserker, Ironbeak Owl, Protect the King, Mogu’shan Warden, Saronite Chain gang, Unpowered Steambot, Corpse Raiser, Faceless Manipulator, Tar Lord.
1 of each: Execute, Sleep with the fishes (I didn’t need this)
->the only necessary epic cards are the Manipulators, but it could even possible to win without them.

Basic strategy: survive and kill enemy taunts till turn 6, build up your hand. if possible: start gearing up a berserker and develop a bit of a board/a taunt or two, especially on turn 7. When frostmourne comes in: get a berserker out there and keep it safe behind taunts. don’t hesitate to kill a soul or two, but try to keep some alive as long as possible. Manage health smartly-Corpse raisers are used on the high-health taunts, of course. In the end, I had to sacrifice one berserker, but was able to copy the other with a manipulator. When you have enough punch for lethal: kill the last soul, silence (owl) or kill/hurt-execute leftover taunts, and here goes. I had fun! If you try it: please leave a message!

Maybe I got lucky but I beat it at the first try yesterday, I tried using Blood Warriors instead of the second Coldlight Oracle and it worked perfectly, refulling my hand with minions.

Took ~20-30 attempts. Very frustrating, but so rewarding in the end. Thanks for sharing the deck!

I tried this deck and played 20 games. not kidding! and did not come even close to beating him. I tried a c’thun deck and it sucked too. Either I am not playing the cards right or I truly get a shafted draw EVERY time. Warrior sucks anyhow!

Since the above deck is suffering from nerfs, FYI:

(P.S. I found out later, that I could have added Scaled Nightmare — let that grow in phase two — for a faster win. But in any case, the below worked well for me, in about 5 tries.)

The Warrior strategy that finally worked easily for me, I got from this link:
    https://www.gamecrate.com/hearthstone-how-beat-lich-king-solo-adventure-all-9-classes/17005

    His tips:
    — Use Brawl when phase two starts: his row of minions, and him not taking damage. (Ideally, Brawl on turn 7.) You want *zero* of your minions out before Brawl, because you *want* him to have one minion, to keep him in phase two.
    — Play Kel’Thusad and a Public Defender, in the same turn (my note: turn 10). KEY!: THIS IS HOW THE LICH KING GETS STUCK! Then, you can just wait for the Lich King to run out of cards!!!! …while you accumulate armor.
    — Only play taunt minions with zero attack.
    — Accumulate armor.
    — Use Dead Man’s Hand (when you have 10 cards), to prevent your deck running out of cards.
    — Kill his last phase two minion, after the Lich King has run out of cards, and when you have lots of armor.

    My other tips:
    — I had to wait until turn 10 to play Kel and Public, because they had to come into play on the same turn.
    — I waited until the Lich King took 4 damage on card draw, before killing the last minion of phase two.
    — I put Feugen and Stalagg into the deck, and the two Thaddeus that resulted (see below) made success a lot easier.
    — I put 2 Corpse Raiser in the deck, intending to protect Kel’Thusad that way… but the Lich King spell-destroyed both Kel and re-summoned-Kel, both in the same turn. So, that didn’t help Kel’Thusad. HOWEVER, that strategy was still worthwhile, because I used the 2nd Corpse Raiser on a Thaddeus… and Thaddeus and Grommash were able to finish off the Lich King without Kel’Thusad.
    — Daring Reporter was a nice idea that didn’t work. (Lich King’s cards were being destroyed because he had 10 cards, so the destroyed cards didn’t count as “drawn”.) If I was to play this match again, I would put in 2 x Faceless Manipulator, or 2 x Faceless Shambler.
    — I ended up drawing two cards that let me copy the attack and health of the Thaddeus’…. but I did not put them in my deck. I’m not sure where they came from. I’m wondering if they were added to my hand by the Lich King, by his deathrattle minion that gives me (his opponent) a death knight card. (Faceless Shamblers? I don’t remember.)

My deck list: (Cost) count x name

    Critical cards:
    (2) 2 x Dead Man’s Hand
    (2) 2 x Public Defender
    (5) 2 x Brawl(8) 1 x Kel’Thuzad
(Again, P.S.: add Scaled Nightmare here, and take out something below.)

    Cards that helped me win:
    (4) 2 x Unpowered Steamboat
    (5) 2 x Corpse Raiser
    (5) 1 x Feugen
    (5) 1 x Stalagg
    (8) 1 x Grommash Hellscream

Cards I used, that helped, but that I’m not sure I really needed:
    (0) 2 x Target Dummy
    (1) 1 x I Know a Guy
    (1) 2 x Iron Hide
    (1) 1 x Shield Slam
    (1) 2 x Wax Elemental
    (1) 2 x Young Princess
    (2) 2 x Drywhisker Armorer
    (3) 2 x Shield Block

Card I used, but that I would drop:
    (4) 2 x Daring Reporter
(Again, I would probably put in Faceless Shamblers or Faceless Manipulators.)

    HTH!

Man, you’re the best! I have been struggling with warrior for an eternity hahaha. This deck has finished that bastard in 3 tries. This works so much better than a patron warrior deck. Now I’ve finally got Prince Arthas. I had to offer up some really good cards for arcane dust, but it was worth it. Again thanks!!!

worked for me after a few tries. dont tempo the warleader and dont play frothing before turn 7. use commanding shout to kill the 2-6s turn 7. thanks a lot, was struggling with ctrl decks and this worked rather quickly. ended up with 60 damage boards at the end

This deck is really good even without the nerfs, i´ve made a small adaptation to it since i don´t have alley armorsmith i´ve put a drywhisker armorer to buff armor during frostmourne phase

if anyone wants my adapted deck it´s here: AAECAQcGFtQE/ASOBfgHgugCDJADkQPFA9sD/gORBtAHgginCNQIncICz+cCAA==

you actually don´t need hungry ettin but it is a nice taunt during frostmourne also use whirlwinds to buy cards or buff berserker.

hope that he doesn´t have any blizzards tho

any further questions add me: SirNicktor#1305

      Hi,
I tried to beat the Lich King today just for fun, and It took me 6 tries despite the nerfs. I did a little change after the first 4 tries tough. I substituted the Bluegill warriors for Coldlight Oracles to gain extra card drawing. Don’t get discouraged by an unfortunate Blizzard or Obliterate.

Impossible to beat with this deck!
STOP saying it’s a good deck, waste of time!

It was good but it suffers a lot with the nerfs of faery war axe and specially murloc warleader, because now you can’t trade your murlocs without them dying.

Good to know that this deck still works despite it suffers a lot by the nerfs, Fiery war axe and Murloc warleader.

It’s very very great. Before, I don’t believe Murloc deck can beat LK in this class.
I spend time a lot in warrior class, 4 or 5 days, try many times, play a lot of decks but it does not work.
It has nothing to lose. I copy your deck and play it. It’s work, I pass in 3 tries.

    Thank. Thank. and Thank.

13 tries for me, but it’s done now! Got pretty unlucky with obliterates and blizzards. And TLK was always able to kill my huge beserkers with frostmourne. Thank you very much for the deck! ?

On my challange of beating LK, warrior was last class on the way to achieve Arthas.

I tryed a lot of warriors decks (alarmobot deck, C’thun deck, patron deck. They are actually so weak). I spend two days on this decks but still not working.

But ur deck worked easely on 5-8 try.

    Thanks.

Warrior was my most difficult deck to figure out with the Lich King. This was BY FAR the best deck that I tried. 1st try with it and RIP Lich King. Murlocs maintained the field and berserker was huge by the end. Thanks!

Literally the 1st try. Cleared out Turn 7 with Commanding Shout. Thanks much!

Warleader is key indeed. And warrior’s card draw is insanely op. 1st try. Thanks! Easiest of all murloc decks by FAR!

You don’t need to win before Frostmourne. Just try to protect your warleader with a taunt minion and destroy the souls quickly, give a buff with rampage or using commanding shout you can destroy the souls easily so save it for that moment . At my first try I left him with 3 of health then at my second I beat him easily with an army of big murlocs.

With no further explaination, I must conclude that it’s impossible to win with this deck. The kind of luck you must have is too unrealistic. When he plays frostmourne, you just lost.

How should I play this? I need to win before turn six? That doesn’t sound too realistic…

Bronthisnis great. Screw all the control decks I beat this with a first try. Thanks again.
